Extremely helpful with a 20+ year back problem. By taking their advice and stretching daily my back problem has subsided dramatically.

I unfortunately have had several surgeries and I was so fortunate to have found Elite Sports…read moreMedicine. I have been with several PT groups before them and I felt the care was cookie cutter. Knee injury? here are the set of exercises other PT groups will prescribe not targeting the exercises to how you are doing and your specific weaknesses. At Elite they treat each person like an individual and tailor your treatment to how you are responding and they always ask what is aggravating you on that particular day. Often you may come on with a specific pain like your back and they will recognize that it's actually your hip that is causing your back pain and you leave feeling better. They all work as a team so if you are with Anna one day and the next time Jeff you aren't starting over because their care overlaps and the communication between them has occurred before you even get there. I can't say enough, how impressed I have been with their knowledge base and caring for each patients recovery and success. I noticed the review from Dawn and she can't be more off base and I'm sorry she gave them a low star review because they literally have helped me get my life back after numerous surgeries. It is always a positive, pleasant place to go where everyone knows who you are and acknowledges you immediately. One of the reasons I chose them was they are privately owned so you don't become a number in the corporate machine mentality where they don't really care about your recovery or get to know who you are. You can't go wrong with Elite Sports Medicine and physical therapy. I would like to stop needing them but as long as I do I'm glad I have them as part of my care team.

Sadly, I did not have the same amazing experience as everyone else. I found staff to be demeaning…read moreand they double book clients so they are uncertain of the information/directions they've provided. I'm finding a better fit.

I was very skeptical about the value of physical therapy for my lower spine injury. Despite having…read morebeen a trail-runner, swimmer and biker for some years, I always thought that the path to injury recovery was through whatever I could do to help myself recover but when faced with an L3/L4 protrusion and subsequent pain and numbness I realized that this problem was bigger than my ability to deal with it alone. The first thing that struck me about Haymarket Physical Therapy (in Bristow) was that the people seemed genuinely interested in me as a person and not just a patient and that my recovery was critically important to them. From my first visit I was impressed with the way in which they performed the diagnosis (that included using modern technology like an ipad to show me exactly what my problem was) and developed a plan of treatment for me. The PT (Rob and then later John) was very clear in communicating exactly what their goals were for me and how they would go about doing it and made sure I was ok with the approach before proceeding. I felt informed at every step of the process. Once the real work of doing the PT twice a week began, the PTA's and techs took over and put me through my paces. Within the first several visits I knew that this was going to be a great therapy. Every time I came, the PTA (Theresa) and tech (Kiara) made a list of the activities I would have to undertake and they would give me excellent guidance on proper form and technique and encouraged me to do a set of exercises at home. They were excellent communicators and took even better notes about my progress or any issues. Their professionalism and expertise was complimented by their friendliness and interest in my condition. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the front desk support (Mika) was fantastic at helping me to coordinate my treatment across my difficult schedule. Her professionalism and competence made what could have been a difficult scheduling problem easy to deal with. In short, I would highly recommend Haymarket Physical Therapy (in Bristow) for their professionalism, expertise and friendliness.

When I finally went to one in 2016, the experience was so bad that I vowed never again. Then, I noticed Haymarket PT in Bristow Center. At the time, I was living in constant pain and walking with a limp. I could not get full extension on my knee and the first three steps after sitting at desk made me look like an eighty year old man when I was just 50. In eight weeks of twice a week appointments, I was no longer in daily pain and had regained much of my life back. In 16 weeks, I had finally tapered off my visits and left the office. Shortly thereafter, in a fit of bravado at the gym, I was able to jump on a 30 inch Rogue box. Not bad for 50. (See below). That is why I went to PT and will go again when I need the help. It was a total and complete team effort. They have a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It is really a great place to get yourself fixed up. I was once a PT agnostic but am now a true believer. Five Stars. (PS - In the past, this facility had a doctor whose reputation was a bit odd. I did not work with him as he has left the practice. They have a strong group working there now.
