I've made a lot of mistakes on this, my first home. However, hiring Thomas and Hall 802 Builders…read morewas NOT one of them. Quite frankly, I tried to save money by piecemealing things, prior to hiring them. In the long run, I had people steal from me, walk out on the job, and even be abusive and cause mental stress. ENTER...802 Builders! They are amazing, and true professionals. They roll in with every piece of equipment you could imagine, arrive on time, are kind and communicative, and after six months of waiting on others -- they are banging out a beautiful job, just in the first day they're here. I'm giddy with excitement as my punch list gets smaller and smaller and it's all taking shape. I feel so blessed to have found them and, though you have to be patient to wait your turn, they are fast, efficient, friendly and it was well worth the wait. I highly endorse them, and will have them do a rough bid on some other projects, since they have such advanced skills, save up the funds, and keep bringing them back. I won't go elsewhere, as they are truly the best.

When the team left it as as if they were never there except for a brand new deck. Waiting for some replacement windows to arrive and I'm sure they will do the same great job. Although we ran into a few design/engineering issues during the process, we were able to work them out for a satisfactory outcome. I found the crew easy to work with. They were very careful around my wife's flowers, which is greatly appreciated. Jancewicz and Son is a much more professional contractor then others we have dealt with in the last few years. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

Update for review from fall of 2022: There are better, local…read moreand less expensive slate roof repair co's to hire. This is how Jancewicz operates: You call, they arrive and send up a drone for in depth photos of roof. Impressive. They come in for discussion of job. You choose slate and ridgecap colors. They come again in a week with contract which is always exceedingly high. Ours was $14,000 to replace a handful of tiles and two ridge caps. Yes, I've asked other customers and roofers about them--always high priced. Also they left the chimney repair out of the contract. The drone showed damage, it was discussed, but not included. I asked about that and the rep shrugged. Red flag! They brag repeatedly about this "great 80 year old company... " to impress you. So they are great, reliable etc. Right? Don't fall for it, they are no better than anyone else. But, out of desperation to get the roof fixed before winter you sign the contract. They come out with old, raggedy used slate. Not new slate which can be expensive and would help to explain the high cost of job. Explanation was that they couldn't match the old slate. This wasn't brought up by rep. Also brought ridge caps that are not your color. Sent them back for correct ones. Towards the end of job, Jancewicz demanded an additional $3000 for the chimney repair work on top of hefty $14,000 slate roof repair. "No way, should have been in contract," was my response. "We'll take care of it!" We hired a local company to repoint and replace flashing at roofline for $800. Great job. No more leaking into ceilings. Saved $2300. Yes, I'm wiser now. The job took 10 days, not the 3 days they stated. It wasn't rain that kept them away as they were no shows on some beautiful clear days. Go local, get referrals from people you know. These guys are no better. They advertise, that's all.
