Anyway, a coworker was bringing his little tupperware in every day and I finally asked him what they were. He said the company was "Managed Meals," although I found out later he was wrong about the name and actually gets his meals from a competitor. Luckily, I looked up Managed Meals instead and got hooked up with this company. I'm only on my first week of meals. I've had 4 so far (I only opted for lunch and dinner.) I'm on the portioned meal plan with 350 calorie lunches and dinners. Yesterday for lunch I had teriyaki chicken with stir fry vegetables. The sauce was awesome! Honestly it tasted like something I'd get at a restaurant. Dinner was meatballs and spaghetti squash with red sauce. The meatballs were very well seasoned as was the red sauce, and who doesn't live spaghetti squash?! Today for lunch I had BBQ chicken and spinach. The spinach was AWESOME. I think my menu said creamed spinach, but whatever they put in it was fabulous! Better than any spinach I've had made for me or I've been able to make myself. Just ate my dinner tonight, it was beef stew. I'm not the biggest stew fan, but it was good and I enjoyed it nonetheless. All the meals this week looked great (except the gumbo, I'm a little scared for the gumbo) My main concern is that I'm going to still be hungry. The portions are small, but only because I PICKED SMALL PORTIONS. So it's going to take some getting used to on my end. Also I think it's important to note that Jessica has been awesome and prompt at returning any questions I have sent to her via email. And I believe she's the owner of the company, so that's pretty cool. You go girl! I'm rating this company 5 Stars. My rating is because of the price, convenience, and the taste of the food. My meals are made for me, and all for $55 a week. It helps me to not overeat OR go out to eat on the weekdays. For catering, I was surprised at how many options there were! There was salads, sandwiches, vegetarian options and lots of sides and dessert options. Because I didn't know if the sandwiches would come with sauce on them, which I don't like, I opted for a Cesar salad with a brownie. During our meeting before lunch, Jason's Deli delivered our boxes and put our names on the boxes so you knew which one was yours. I really liked this inside of just categorizing by lunch type: sandwich, salad, soup. When I opened my box, my Cesar salad was there with a big cup of dressing on the side. There was also two slices of bread and my delicious brownie. The salad was delicious and so was the bread and brownie. If I'm ever needing to cater for something, I am definitely doing Jason's Deli!

I was so filled from the salad I didn't even need the sandwich. For $20 you have 2 full meals. Can't beat that.

She releases her menu on Tuesdays and I order and pay by Thursday and her delivery day is the following Tuesday. I have a plethora of meals: buffalo chicken wraps, shrimp & grits, vegetable lasagna, pork chops and chilis. I normally order 10 meals and select how many of each meal from the menu of four items. There are ways to customize also. The prepped meals are perfect for my husband to take to work and just warm up + at home, my daughter and I split a meal for lunch. Most companies have an issue if you have a record and I understand that however people who have served their time have a hard enough time staying on the right track, having the responsibility of a job helps them stay on track and take care of themselves. It is proven that having a job reduces the chance of reoffending. Their groceries might be a little more than Walmart but you get better service and are helping our local community by supporting the store. Plus the stores are clean and organized.

They are a little cheaper than some places, but don't be fooled, they just aren't worth it. I'm done with Rouses boiled crawfish.
