Becca clearly knows her craft--each drink was well‑balanced, creative, and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell there's real attention to detail and pride behind the bar. If you're on the fence about trying something custom, absolutely do it--you won't be disappointed. The food paired perfectly with the cocktails and rounded out a great overall experience. Between the quality of the drinks, the solid food, and the excellent service, Bluewater Distillery delivered across the board. I tried the 'Hot Shot' cilantro and jalapeño vodka cocktail which was ok - neither flavor (or spice) came through very much, if at all. I should've ordered a flight! Back to my crushed dreams of a patio-lunch-in-the-sun... a party of 4 was seated at the large picnic table (1 body more than us, and both parties couldve split the table its that spacious), AND they pulled a table from the other side of the patio and put it in the sunny spot we asked to sit in towards the end of our time there. As a service industry person myself, I wouldnt be so quick to offer an inside table instead of being minutely inconvenienced (we offered to move the table ourselves as well to be helpful), with a couple of 2-tops outside and 2 inside - they were not busy. The berry-ube gin wowed me (I knew just from the smell, but the flavor was... phenomenal). The happy accident bottle, a blend of gin & whiskey with a punch of lemon was bright and delightful. It took me forever to figure out where this might be located, but now I know its in an industrial area near Paine Field. Lots of parking out front and super easy to find if you use a maps app. It's not a huge place, but plenty of room for a small group. You can do a tasting or have a cocktail. You can also buy spirits to go. There is a huge variety here, whiskey, scotch, gin, etc. For 10$ you can do a tasting that includes 8 tastes. There are a variety of interesting things to try. They have a cart they bring out to pour from. You can ask tons of questions and read about all the tasting notes of whatever you try. Everything was delicious. On my next visit I will certainly try a cocktail. Do check it out if you have never been, it is worth a special trip.

They have a beautiful facility and the tasting room was filled with souvenirs from shirts, jackets, flasks, glasses and all of them looked top-notch. Loved to buy a baseball cap, but my head is 61cm and I must have the velcro closure as the plastic snap hats are just too small & cheap for me. They have a counter bar area strategicly set with no chairs where it's comfortable for four 1/4 to 1/2 oz taste, but you don't get too comfortable. The hostess was pleasant, inviting and we honestly enjoyed reviewing the menu of +10 different whiskeys where we need to pick out 4 of them for the standard flight. They had a cross section of proofs between bourbons and ryes with a premixed old fashioned that was made by aging in maple syrup barrels. My wife went for ryes and i did the bourbons. I started with the 80 proof then navigated toward the highlight of the 115-proof. I was pleasantly impressed how drinkable without the burn going down was the 115-proof as it benefits from a sweeter, corn-forward base + cooler aging that results in better integration and less aggressive burn -- it "drinks easier" than the numbers would suggest. Of course, try what you can and it's great when you can share tastes between 2 people all the choices. For me, I found the cast strength aged 6 years 115 proof to be the best.

In long It's one of the only public-facing businesses in this row of warehouses and offices. They have a small space where they crank out an impressive array of gins, plus aquavit and limoncello. The tasting room has a bit of bar and highboy seating, and there's a table next to the rollup door in the production space. After too many years without a visit, we rolled in on a sunny July afternoon for a few cocktails. Their Insta photos just made the special libations for this month sound all too irresistible. The setup is virtually unchanged since my first review years ago. They just have more cocktails on the menu, and more different special-release stuff to taste. We tried gins flavored with black truffles, coffee, and other cool accents. The taster flight is easily worth it, and we mixed in 4 different cocktails over the course of the session. They have a bartender now, rather than doing it all themselves all the time. There was a steady flow of other customers while we sat, including young families--it's kid-friendly!
