Her website is nicely done, her portfolio is great, she is priced very reasonably, and she got back to me really quickly after I emailed her the first time(much quicker than other photogs I reached out to). Once I decided to go with her, she was extremely accessible and quick in answering emails and phone calls. Jenna took the time to get to know me and find out what I was looking for in our wedding pictures. She did not simply show up on the day of the wedding; she got coffee with me a month before the wedding to get to know each other (her idea!). Trust me, that made a BIG difference in my comfort level on wedding day. She was not a random girl taking our pictures - she was Jenna, the girl who cares! It was honestly like having a friend taking all of our photos. Jenna is friendly, classy, talented, and funny. She joined in on our conversations while we were getting ready, but also blended in to the background at appropriate times too. She got along with all of my bridesmaids and groomsmen, which makes the "funny shots" easier because everyone was relaxed and not being yelled at. I know they may have been more comfortable in casual clothes, so I guess that is where "classy" comes into play. I finally committed to using Lighthouse Boudoir and I would highly recommend Sontera to anyone! My biggest fear when committing to this was that I would get my pictures back and not like them. After months and months and months of researching and looking at other pictures online on various websites, I felt like my pictures would never live up to what I had seen others look like in front of the camera. Boy was I wrong!!! I was more nervous on reveal day of the proofs than I was in front of the camera, but Sontera delivered the most amazing and beautiful pictures I had ever seen of myself! My favorite part of the shoot was the fact that I was one-on-one with Sontera and there was never a moment of awkwardness. So I thought pictures shouldn't be hard to get. But none of the pictures we got from them turned out remotely as gorgeous as the ones we took ourselves the next day when we had a small party there. The downtown lights were muted which I'm perplexed about because it's so bright and there's so much of it out there. My other issue is that we specifically asked for him not to be all up in our faces during the proposal to allow for more privacy and a special moment. But he strong-handed us into making a big scene and deal of it and I say that because during the session I said no and yet he did it anyway. It ended up ruining the proposal and I would have expected more from such a highly rated photographer. That is a once in a lifetime thing and he decided he wanted to ruin it.
