I had a dance performance in Mid March and didn't even question that my order would not have arrived. At the beginning of the month I emailed because I hadn't received my order after 2 1/2 weeks. I got an email from customer service that my order would be there within 3-4 business days. 7 Business days later I emailed and got no response. 2 days later I called. No answer. Left a message. No call back. Called the next day. No answer. Left a message. No call back. Therefore did not have the apparel I needed for my performance and still have no idea where it is. After over a month, it's not even worth trying any longer. Worst customer service I've experienced in a long time.

After several weeks of no further notifications, no packages, etc., I sent an email and received no response. I called several times over the course of a week and no one picked up. When I finally got through to a person, she couldn't tell me why I hadn't received my order and had to have a manager call me back a few days later. Turns out one of the two items I ordered was out of stock, so they hadn't shipped either or notified me there was a problem. I told them to go ahead and ship the one that was in stock (they cancelled the other item). The item arrived damaged sometime well into September. I don't know why I bothered to send it back... at this point it seems like more work that it is worth to fight for a refund.

I left the store today embarrassed, upset, and absolutely appalled!!!!…read more I traveled to Stride Rite in Mt Pleasant with my daughter and her two toddlers to look for shoes, I had been a customer years ago when my children were young and highly recommended this store to my daughter when she needed to buy shoes for her children. She has been a customer for the past few years not only when buying shoes but clothing from the shops adjoining the shoe store. The sales lady measured my grandson and granddaughters feet, and then my daughter looked around, picked out several pairs of shoes. She had four pairs of shoes they were all different sizes (because some ran big and some brands ran small). Trying to figure out what she wanted to do she was writing down notes about the shoe, size, cost. She wasn't planning on buying all of the shoes at that moment but was planning purchasing at least one pair for each of her children, and then return later for the other pairs. We are almost done when without and reason the sales lady informed my daughter that they don't measure feet and retrieve stock and try on shoes without expecting you to buy shoes from there. I was taken back and bothered at first but my daughter was just confused and promptly asked what she meant, she clumsily tried to explain that they don't go through all that for you to go somewhere else to buy your shoes. This made no sense!! The more she talked the more insulting the whole thing became. I left the store because I could no longer keep my mouth shut, but when my daughter ended up in the car in tears I just couldn't take it anymore so I am writing this review. This is NOT the way to conduct business, to jump to conclusions and then act on them to the point that you not only lose today's business but any future business from this customer as well as whom else will be put off by the attitude at this store. I have worked in retail and many years in shoes, NEVER is the expectation that this customer is obligated to make a purchase because you actually do your job! You work in a shoe store people will come in and get their feet measured and even try on shoes, and yes often they will purchase said shoes, but sometimes they don't. That is retail!!! To have the audacity to confront a customer and say such ridiculous statements to the point of insulting and embarrassing a customer is absolutely appalling!!!!! If you want to be insulted by all means this is the store to go to, if not I recommend to shop where you will be appreciated as a customer. !!!!

The walk path as many others have referenced are covered, which makes it nice when it's a very hot day. Also, the paths are so wide that you don't feel like you are crowded on top of one another. There are maps throughout so you can grab one easily versus trying to wing it. I also appreciate that they have a food court and various ice cream and coffee shops so if you need a quick bite it is easily accessible to you. Found parking to be easy to navigate and there are several different sections and lots. I didn't find a ton of discounts for reduced prices compared to what I would have expected for an outlet, but it's still fun to kill time when you are looking for something other than the beach to do. Who doesn't love retail therapy?

It's usually for sneakers and while my Dad leans on New Balance of late, I've been hooked on Asics for the past few years and that leads me to one of the issues I encountered on this visit. Asics had closed their outlet store a few weeks prior to my paying the family a visit. Sure Pop found something he liked at NB but I was off my plan and needed to figure this out before we headed home. Now its important to know that there are so many shops of all different variety here at the Tanger outlet but I do not advise wandering around aimlessly to find them and instead grabbing one of the maps that are readily available and using it tactically. It's South Carolina after all and can be very very hot at times. I'd suggest that you arrive with a bottle of water to keep you hydrated and maybe a handerchief to dob the sweat off your brow. Oh yeah, also wear a hat, you can thank me later. Outside of the sneaker shops, my favorite stops are the entertainment shops, the places where one can find action figures, pops, and assorted t-shirts with pop culture characters or music icons. There are a number of snack stands and also little jewelry kiosks if you are looking for that kind of stuff. I recall a couple of refreshment stops like Ben and Jerry's but the others elude me as I cobble all of this together. You can hit their website and peruse and like I suggested, go in with a plan first and then noodle about. An important change I noticed this time around was a business office which offered some benches in air-conditioning and bathrooms for visitors to use. There are also a few vending machines with soft drinks, snacks and water, the latter being a very important need while shopping. There was a complimentary WiFi detected which I never mind having since it made check ins easier. That's all I've got on this one and can say that you will likely find yourself in the place for a couple of hours so do mark down where you parked since their lot is massive. Oh yeah and for those curious about the kicks. I decided on a couple of pair of Skechers, a brand I have not really owned many of but these were comfortable and was happy to give them a try. I walk quite a bit in my Big Apple Metropolis and need comfortable sneakers for that. Happy Shopping and remember....bring water :)
