Seit 2009 liegt die Verantwortung des traditionsreichen Badischen Hofs in den Händen des leidenschaftlichenTeams "cook&more", bestehend aus den Machern um Küchenchef Klaus-Peter Wamich und den beiden Brüdern Axel und Nicolas Neumeister. 2005 gründeten die 3 eine Cateringfirma namens cook&more Ltd. In 2008er firmierten Sie zur cook&more services GmbH und übernahmen 2009 den traditionsreichen Badischen Hof in Mannheim-Seckenheim. Eine Eventlocation mit a la carte Restaurant. Der Badische Hof exisitiert von seit dem 18. Jahundert zunächst als Brauerei Pfisterer mit Gasthaus. Die Brüder Neumeister sind witziger Weise sogar noch mit dem Gründer der Brauerei verwandt, dann führte ihn jahrelang eine Mannheimer Musikerin names Rica Corell die Stars wie Zarah Leander ins "Brettl" (Saal) locken konnte.

This place looks like it has potential for a great restaurant in a small city: good location…read more(restaurant with a river view), food bargains (bf spoke of great brunches and lunch buffets), and weekly events (live music). We went during weekday off-hours shortly before dinner, and the hostess was willing to seat us before dinner starts. Since it wasn't dinner time, we were only offered a "snack" menu. Thinking it would only be snacks, we ordered veal schnitzel with fries, ofenkartoffel (baked potato) with BBQ chicken with curry mustard, and 2 salads. Uh, not snacks! Those 'snacks' were entree-worthy: salad was filled with various vegetables with a great viniagrette, and I really liked the baked potato (usually not a preference of mine). It was nicely cooked, and the BBQ chicken were tasty with the curry that I couldn't stop eating them both. Knowing the food is delicious, I might just have to come back to try the brunches/buffets or see the live music.

Chapeau, das ist das einzige was man dazu sagen kann! Aus alten Gemäuern ein wirklich schönes Restaurant gemacht, von aussen eine Augenweide und innen den Charme vergangener Zeiten mit der Moderne gekonnt vereint. Waren gestern Abend zu zweit dort und haben richtig lecker geschlemmt. Zuerst hatten wir eine Bärlauchcremesuppe und gebratene Austernpilze, danach ein Rumpsteak und ein Lammcarrée, als Dessert ein Mandelmilch - Panna Cotta und ein Erdbeereis in Rucola mit rosa Pfefferbeeren. Nochmals ein ganz großes Lob an die Küche und den Service, für uns als eure Kollegen habt Ihr einen Super Job gemacht. read more
