They also have a variety of fish, squid, and quiche but we have not tried those yet. They have menus in English or Spanish. The staff was very friendly, courteous, and speak a little English. We had no difficulty communicating with them. Seating consists of stools at the bar, 4 tables and chairs inside and 3-4 tables and chairs outside. Note: Euro cash only; credit cards are not accepted. The food that I ordered was served separately, meaning that the accompanying sides were served before the main entree which for me was a steak. My potatoes and rice were cold by the time my steak arrived. The steak got cold waiting for the sides to return. Asked for a hotplate to warm up the meat, but this was not available. The steak was returned to the kitchen for re-heating. A second entree that was ordered by two guest of mine was served with different sized portions for the same thing. Comments made to the wait staff fell on "deaf" ears. It was almost as if the attitude here is " It is what it is". I will never return.....total price for the meal $240.00 euro.

They have tables under umbrellas in the plaza too! You can sit down outside and someone will come out to take your order. Each time I have been here they have been quick and courteous. I just had a coffee yesterday. During Rota's warmer days you'll find all their outdoor tables taken... very limited parking in front. A public parking garage is located about 4mins away from the plaza de España, in the direction of the Torre de Merced. This is in old Rota, and after your coffee or tapas, I strongly recommend a walk through the older calles which is most relaxing, along with seeing the Castillo de Luna past here towards the beach. The menus have both Spanish and English and the wait staff speak decent English as well. Throughout my 3 visits, my buddies and I ordered plates of Spanish Iberico ham, Iberico ham on scrambled eggs and potatoes, stuffed rigatoni, cuttlefish croquettes, slow cooked pork bao buns (which are amazing!), grilled octopus over chopped potatoes, as well as, a few other dishes. The 2 dishes that really stood out to me were the Iberico ham over scrambled eggs and potatoes and the slow cooked pork bao buns (on the menu, also called Speedy Gonzales). The salty flavor and the texture of the Iberico ham, coupled with the flavors from the scrambled eggs and potato really work, and together, is a perfect bite! Meanwhile, the bao buns were definitely a surprise in a Spanish tapas restaurant..lol Nonetheless, these were cooked with care and were delicious! The tender pork was perfectly paired with guacamole and what tasted like a sriracha cream sauce. Utopia was definitely a great find in Rota, and for anyone who visits this quaint little city in Southern Spain, I highly recommend this restaurant for it's delicious food! :D
