We met him as a group and used his "triage" service, and he swiftly went through a multi-generational jewelry collection and tested and separated pieces that had significant potential value or simply contained gold that could be melted down. As he was going through everything we brought, he educated us about gemstones, how the jewelry and auction industry works, how to maximize value when selling and his connections/resources for selling items and more--he was a wealth of information. We brought the ring to Accurate Gem Labs and Teresa remembered that she'd actually appraised it for us back in 2006! She didn't remember this by looking us up in her computer, but because I walked into her work space. Who remembers something that happened 13 years ago just by seeing someone's face? Because we were return customers, she gave us a great deal on the appraisal as well as the work the jeweler performed to make my ring more stable and beautiful, and they polished and cleaned my wedding band for free while I waited.
