This is my car park of choice when visiting the city, simply because it is cheaper than its neighbouring car parks and there are always spaces available. The charges are reasonable too charging customers £3.40 for three hours and £3 after 6pm as long as you are out by 2am. On Sundays it's a mere £3 all day - bargain! Car park operates 24 hours too! Result!

It's the preferred car park if you are staying at the Malmaison hotel or the Ramada and of course if you're shopping in the Mailbox itself. It is a clean, smart car park befitting of the numerous designer outlets in the Mailbox (although curiously all the restaurants and cafes are inexpensive chains) and as a bonus, has an H2O car wash on site. But spaces are limited This carpark is very safe and It's also quite secure. It is a huge place spread across 3 floors, its very clean and spacious. Above it has the Mailbox complex which houses Designer department store Harvey Nichols, other smaller boutique stores, Ramada hotel, Restaurant, Bars and The BBC. Overall a fantastic location, Little expensive but thats the price you pay for being in the heart of the centre.

I realise it's also a chain, but this car park is very handy and much better value than many others In the area. If you go to the cinema on Broad street you get up to 3 hours free, which is very handy indeed. It's never been full whenever we've been, even when others nearby have been. You pay on leaving, so don't need to rummage round the car trying to find any loose change either. Even at Christmas time I have always managed to find a parking place. Don't use the lifts here though, someone I used to work with got stuck in one once and the emergency button didn't work. They had to call their office to get someone to contact euro parks for help!

It's within walking distance of New Street and the Bullring, or you can hop on the West Midlands Metro, which has a dedicated station for Brindeyplace following the Metro Expansion to Edgbaston. For coffee, you have the choice of Caffe Nero, Costa, or Pret A Manger, while the selection of bars and restaurants located here includes All Bar One, Cosy Club, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Turtle Bay, Wagamama and many others. On my most recent visit to Birmingham, I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, which is located within Brindley Place, my room had a pleasant view overlooking it. It's a fairly nice place in the city whether you're looking to walk around, hang out, grab a bite to eat or enjoy the nightlife.

My gondolences to those who haven't had a chance to visit. A friend of mine has been putting off coming here for years because the streets are always flooded. Brindley Place is a quarter around the canals with plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants and apartments. It has a nice modern design and you can walk down by the canal level or a level up crossing the canals over small pedestrian bridges. The water looks like a terrible quality. Someone needs to drag a long net through it to catch all the rubbish floating around. Most restaurants are chain restaurants, which seems to be the rule rather than exception these days. The one side of the canal quarter connects to the Mailbox mall. Quite a few house boats floating around where you can look straight into peoples bedrooms.

You can actually go up and over the bridge into Selfridges without stepping outside which is obviously a fantastic plus when it's raining or even when it's cold.
