    Hands down the best money we spent on our entire wedding!!…read moreIf you're on the fence about hiring an outside coordinator because your church or reception venue already has in-house people like we did, honestly, just do it and book AWE Planner right now. We originally thought we'd just stick with the venue coordinators, but after doing some research we realized we wanted someone with us the whole day who was strictly looking out for us. A friend who used them a few years ago highly recommended them, and thank god they did. Jennifer was freakin amaaaazzzing the whole time. We only hired her for month-of, but I felt like she was always there for us whenever we had random questions early on. She's super patient, so easy to talk to, and our personalities just vibed immediately. Words aren't even enough to describe how on top of it she and her assistant were on the actual day. Everything ran so incredibly smooth. I am a major Type A, very controlling person, and Jennifer completely put me at ease and let me just enjoy my day. I can seriously say I didn't just come out of this whole experience as a wife, but I made a genuinely great new friend. Love her and cannot recommend them enough!!!

I felt that Ann…read morewas not adequately detail oriented for the size and complexity of our event, although ultimately everything turned out great. Pluses: 1. Ann is friendly and professional. She made me feel special during the planning process. 2. We technically had not paid her for wedding planning- only for the day of coordination - but she was happy to meet with me at length before the wedding and also met with the florist and my sister who was involved in the planning. She made a special site visit and made helpful suggestions to my sister. 3. Ann appears to be very experienced. She thought of issues to consider during the wedding planning which I never would have thought of including considering how to position readers in the ceremony seating arrangement, where parents most likely should sit, etc. She similarly gave helpful suggestions for the order of the procession. She recommended making lists of people to pick up centerpieces, leftover cake, and other equipment from the wedding so that the day of went more smoothly. I felt that her suggestions helped us feel more relaxed on the day of the event because many things were "taken care of." 4. When my sister discovered at the last minute that the chairs that arrived were incorrect, Ann spent time with the vendors and helped correct the problem. Behind the scenes, she took care of everything and I didn't even know about it. Minuses: 1. During the pre-wedding preparation periods, I started to notice that she failed to read most of the emails I sent her or CC'ed her on to update her on changes in plans. 2. At the rehearsal I was shocked to find that she had a beautiful timeline and outline of all the details of the wedding which she didn't seem familiar with (I heard her daughter puts the packet together for her). She was inefficient in conducting the rehearsal due to lack of familiarity with the details. 3. The day of the wedding she was often not present or readily available, even when we called her cell phone. 4. She failed to make sure corsages and bouquets were available for the photos even though we followed her timeline so she should have known when to bring them. 5. I heard afterward that she snapped at a family member who came to kindly ask why the candles for the ceremony had been removed. 6. When the time of the bouquet toss came I realized that she had not made the toss bouquet available to me and she was unavailable at that time. I ended up using my real bouquet which luckily i was ok with parting with. Overall, I will say this- my wedding turned out beautifully. I didn't feel that this was really because of Ann, but I think that she may have done some behind the scenes work that helped. There weren't any major disasters, but I wondered if she would have been able to handle it if there had been. A simpler and smaller wedding may make for a different story. In addition, her strengths may be more in helping with the planning process than in the hectic day of coordination.

When my daughter was married in May 2013 we were lucky that Ann Saavedra was on board. Ann only wants it to be one of the most happiest days of your life. We initially spoke with several other planners, but after our first call with Kimberly, we knew we wanted her to be the one helping us plan our event this past October in Sonoma. We insisted that Kimberly was our go-to with ASE. ASE has several levels of planning packages depending on what you are looking for. My Husband and I decided to go with the partial planning package and it was the perfect balance for us. We are from the Chicagoland area so having a planner in California where we were getting married was essential. Kimberly is also well-connected in wine country/the wedding industry and has relationships with many of the vendors who ASE has worked with over the years. This is a major perk, since she was able to point us in the direction of some of the best vendors out there! We always felt like we were in the right hands and were provided high quality recommendations by Kimberly. Throughout the past year of planning with Kimberly she was always kind and had such a positive attitude. Aside from being our wedding planner, Kimberly felt like a friend. Not only did we hear from several of our vendors how much they loved working with Kimberly and how organized she was, even several of our friends asked who she was because they noticed how on top of everything she was at the wedding. Everyone tells you how stressful wedding planning can be, especially since our entire planning process was virtual and during covid, but ours was carefree and fun! You also hear "something is going to go wrong the day of" but my husband and I can say that our day was flawless. If something did go wrong, it was nothing made known or visible to either us or any of our guests. When my Husband and I returned to our hotel room at the end of that night, Kimberly and her assistant had already returned all our signs and personal belongings to our room. They laid out my veil on the bed with our welcome sign so beautifully (see pic). Although this was a small gesture, we felt it was so thoughtful to walk back to at the end of what was already the perfect day! One final touch if you will! I have said to my husband on numerous occasions recently that I wish our wedding planning wasn't over and how I want to experience our day all over again and he agrees! Thank you, Kimberly for helping make our wedding one we'll always treasure and never forget! It was more magical than we could have ever envisioned!

My 14 month engagement turned into 26 months and I cannot imagine having gone through the challenges the pandemic and wild fires presented without Kelly. In addition to her gorgeous work, creativity, and connections in the industry, she is as genuine as can be and truly wants the best for her brides, grooms and their families. Not only does Kelly want to make your wedding planning experience as easy and fun as possible, but she also does an incredible job of getting to know you and making the wedding extremely personal. She got to know my husband and me in addition to our story and overall vision for our special day/weekend. Kelly goes above and beyond. For example, Kelly knew mine and my husband's love for Crumbl cookies and it became a shared love between all of us. She had the great idea to pick up Crumbl catering for our Rehearsal Dinner, which was also my husband's birthday, because she knew how special that would be for us. This is just the smallest example of Kelly's thoughtfulness throughout the whole process. Our wedding planning process presented extreme challenges between having to postpone a full year due to the pandemic and having to find a new venue/caterer/other vendors after our original venue burned down, but Kelly had my back every step of the way. She worked tirelessly to give us the best options while still taking our budget and preferences into consideration. The day would not have been possible without her and we are forever grateful for her dedication, her hard work, and her genuine love for what she does. Three months later, anytime we see our friends and family, they still talk about how perfect and absolutely stunning our wedding day and weekend was. I knew our day would be special but it was beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of. Kelly and the ASE team went above and beyond in creating the most special, beautiful, personalized and intimate wedding for us and I will forever be grateful.     This review is for communication etiquette only. I inquired wedding planning services with Laurisa…read moreafter reading all of the good reviews. After my inquiry she text me to see what my need was which was day of coordinating. She sent over an email explaining her prices and services. After reviewing everything I had some questions regarding her pricing/services so I emailed back on 8/7 and never heard back. So I texted her on 8/27 to see if she got my email etc her reply to me was "Hi! Oh no, I apologize! What's your name?" That was a bit of a red flag to me but I understand this profession is busy and life happens so I resent our prior conversation to refresh her memory. From there we set up a time to chat the next morning. We scheduled our call at 11am. She never called at 11am so I called her and she never picked up. So I texted her and she replied that she had woke up late because she was at a wedding until 2am and could call me in 10 min. At that point I decided to inquire with someone else. Nothing against this company, I have heard great things but communication is number 1 for me. If communication starts off rough that's usually a red flag for me because if it's like that now I'm not sure how it would be on my wedding day... so unfortunately I did not book with Laurisa

    Laurisa was our worst nightmare in planning a wedding…read more We hired Laurisa as a wedding coordinator and were so excited to work with her. Admittedly there were a few red flags but we excused her lack of experience and reasoned she made up for it with her energy and can-do spirit. Boy were we wrong. Unfortunately Laurisa was consistently late, didn't deliver what she promised, and when we expressed concerns and asked her if she had a back up-plan in the event she's exposed to COVID on our wedding day (as supposedly happened when she bailed at the last second for our walk-through of the venue), she stopped responding completely!?! She walked away with our $1,000 deposit and won't respond to calls, texts or emails from us pleading with her to return our deposit so we can hire a new coordinator. Added stress of being out a grand, upon an already stressful situation of having a key vendor bail almost a month before the wedding. Please save the stress and AVOID at all costs.
