A local Baja coffee chain boasting their special roast. This location is tucked in a residential area but opens into a lovely garden. The staff takes care of the space and the lush grounds. Everything was very clean, including the restrooms. The experience is built around relaxation with fun seating, chill music, and really good coffee. Grab a seat and relax. Drinks: Americano and an almond milk chai latte. Both were hot and tasty. Food: The avocado toast was as good as it looked. Thick slices of bread with a hearty layer of avocado, sprouts, cucumber slices, and sweet tomatoes. I added a scrambled egg. The veggie burrito was filled with quinoa, mushrooms, and peppers. Rule number one. Buy some beans or have them grinded before you depart. Trust me, your cup of coffee will be the best darn coffee you ever had. I ordered an Americano with almond milk (which I had heated). It's really good. I went with a Mexicano burrito, which is not listed under breakfast burritos. It consisted of egg, onions, and chili peppers. I think it was Serrano and one other kind. It comes with a Verde sauce on the side. This is not for the faint-hearted. It's spicy as in you might experience some sweat. But it's good. Bonus wifi rocks. Seeing the doggies too. read more

We went on a Sunday since we happened to be in the area during a "Baja Beans Sunday", normally there's live music and crafts but not this Sunday. Maybe we got there when things simmered down. We did see a few displays on our way to get coffee where we bought some Mexican shot glasses and an authentic mask and also browsed in the nearby boutique. Seems to be an odd ordering system here, we ordered a bunch of things: cold brew with almond milk, a chai frappe, an espresso, almond cake, and an everything muffin. When the time came to pay we were holding all of our items and he just looked at everything and tallied it up. We found a nice table outside under a mango tree. Mangoes are everywhere here and they were falling off the trees left and right. I ate one. This was a great coffee adventure before our beach time at Cerritos. read more

We visited this coffee shop a few times during our stay. The coffee was pretty good and we usually get good service. Today we came to get our coffee, pastries and a fruit bowl, expecting it'd be a quick morning stop. There was a line, but we were not concerned and waited patiently in the line. Getting the coffee and the pastries was a breeze, but we waited 30 minutes for our fruit bowl. After we reminded the counter about our order, it took another 10 minutes to receive it. When it finally arrived, it was rather disappointing. It looked the dish was prepared in a hurry with very basic selection of fruits. At that moment, the magic that lives in our heart broke and vanished. Overall, I'd recommend this place for coffee and pastries. We'd not order anything that will take time to prepared though. read more

This was such a fun & random find on our way back to the Cabo airport from Todos Santos. It's right off the highway (in a cool spot near some sort of farm and fairly close to the ocean) so we quickly exited, found a parking spot, and grabbed a bag of beans to take home. The space itself is really nice. A small indoor cafe/counter situation with a bunch of outdoor space for hanging out. Beans were pretty solid. Smooth, notes of chocolate. Good quality. Baja Beans makes a good cup of joe and a decent Cappuccino or Latte. But the draw here is the breakfasts, particularly on Sundays when the make a great Frittata. On other days they have quiche, breakfast sandwiches, scones, and other breakfast items. While they sound similar to offerings at your standard US coffee houses, I guarentee they are a step or two (or three) above what you are thinking. And the orange juice they have their is tastier and fresher than anything you have had in the US unless you squeezed it yourself (even then, the oranges here produce a juice that just seems to taste better). On Sundays much of the year they host a market on their grounds where local vendors come to sell their wares. These are quality products ranging from locally produced clothing, jams, trinkets, and a large variety of other products. They usually also have live music of some sort playing off to the side. During this last trip the first Sunday they had a 3 peice band with a very good lead guitarist. The second sunday was a different group with a flute player that had no qualms about breaking out some Eric Clapton covers. There is a comfortable area outside to sit and enjoy your coffee and food with free wifi (if you must). A great place to kick back for a little while. read more

One star because at least you can get decaf espresso in Baja i a very cool setting. But seriously we received terrible coffee and zero customer service. The woman at the register was so hyped up she couldn't stop to listen to the order. Then when they made the wrong thing she blamed it on 'the new guy' and expected us to be happy with it anyway ... no offer to make it right and definitely not worth drinking. I got to a lot of coffeehouses, and this is one of my favorites. Love the open grounds full of mango trees and shady areas. A great place to hang out with friends, or just to chill. I also love the baked goods--the berry scone was excellent. But mostly, they make a great cup off coffee. The creamy cappuccinos and lattes are made with precision and care, offering the type of quality you'll find in the very best coffee places in big, hip cities. Unpretentious, and very inviting and relaxed. It's just off the main highway down a dirt road, so look for the sign. Definitely worth a little extra dust on your windshield. read more

Hola Yelperos - that means "hello Yelpers" in Spanish. So yah, gotta say this place has some of the best desserts in the area. We love the chocolate cake and some of the muffins. If you've been out roasting in the sun and needing an expresso pick me up this place has great cappacinos too. In general a very good coffee shop. Weekends, especially Sundays, are a bit oversold and too crowded. But yes, there are interesting trinkets to buy. Bathrooms are sometimes a challenge but that's almost everywhere down south. I love this place during the week for the quiet, peaceful coffee & yummies. Staff is nice and helpful. Get in there and get your chocolate cake. Adíos amigos! read more

Baja Beans is my daily go-to stop for coffee in Pescadero. I go to Baja once or twice a year and I go back to Baja Beans again and again. You could pick it up and plop it down in any city in the US and it would stand out in all of them. The coffee is great and is roasted in Pescadero by Baja Beans. They also sell it bags of it and they're just starting to sell bags of beans on Amazon. The food is also great. I love the scones. There are sweet ones with berries and also great breakfast sandwiches with egg, cheese, and ham or avocado on a cheese scone. They also have a nice quiche with ham, cheese, and chiles. The cafe has outdoor seating under a grove of mango trees. There's also a stage there and I've seen live bands there a couple times. It's a really great, relaxed environment with outstanding food and coffee. read more

My wife and I have now been here twice during our stay. I can't speak to the coffee, because I've only had espresso drinks, but if you're jonesing for a good cappuccino then come right in and make yourself at home. The first day, and thus the first drink, was an americano. It was good, but it didn't knock my socks off. The next time around I ordered a cappuccino from a different barista. Very good! I've been a barista myself (though it was a long time ago) and it was definitely better than what I remember making. :) Subjectively speaking, the one thing that I didn't like was the volume of the music. Music should enhance an experience at a place as beautiful as Baja Beans, not overwhelm it. So I do recommend trying it and sitting underneath the mango trees. Soak in the beauty, and get yourself a cappuccino. Bring some headphones along just in case. read more

Good, albeit expensive, coffee (think downtown Seattle prices, and add a few pesos). I enjoy the Sunday tianguis (open air market), spread out under the canopy of a mango grove, though the vendors, many of them local artists trying to make a living through their art, and who bring in much of the cafe's business, are charged a hefty fee by the owner for their table. The live music on Sundays is awesome. Somehow, the bands are always excellent. I've listened to many over many Sundays...always impressed, always enjoy it, and sometimes buy their CDs. Yet on weekdays, when there is no live music, and on Sundays during breaks by the band and after it has left, the canned music is turned on : ( and it's loud : (( As noted here by another reviewer, music should compliment the experience, not overwhelm it, and certainly not detract from it. It's always pop, sometimes with a disco flair, and always loud. It's led me to stop going on weekdays (when I'd usually found the cafe empty, or nearly so. The music may be why.). Please lower the volume to levels more appropriate to the (beautiful) setting, and why not something more Mexican? (such as the mariachi music (live!) offered on Saturday afternoons in a restaurant on the town plaza). The mango grove is beautiful, adding much to the ambiance, yet even the casual observer can see that the trees need attention. Start by pruning the (many) dead branches. read more

This was our last stop before heading to the airport after a great vacation. We kept seeing the sign for Baja, as well as heard about it from the resort we were staying at, so we definitely had to stop by. We are so happy we did! The coffee was great. I got one of the dark roasts, and it was perfect. I also grabbed a slice of their quiche and could not have been more satisfied. A buddy just grabbed a muffin, and said "Whoa. This might be the best muffin I've ever eaten." The seating is great. Nice open and outdoor space, plenty of tables, and great upbeat music playing in the background. I also know that they do some sort of farmer's market over the weekend. I was sad I missed out on that. Definitely visit this place if you're traveling around Pescadero! read more
