It's only been open for around 6 months so everything is brand new and they didn't skimp on any equipment. They have everything you could possibly need as far as machines and free weights. The other nice thing is everybody that uses the gym replaces all of their weights and accessories to their proper places. In addition they have a full time staff employee that walks the gym cleaning the equipment non-stop. They also sell a variety of protein bars and powders and will make onsite protein shakes and juices. The owner Chiro (spelling?) is one of the nicest guys you'll meet and even gave us recommendations for local eating establishments. The rest of the staff and trainers are all very friendly. If you're looking to work out in Cabo this is the place to go.

He didn't make it weird because we didn't know Spanish, yet he made us feel welcome and comfortable making sure we understood everything. He coached a very complicated movement to the class and I was able to follow along perfectly because of how in depth he was in his demonstration. The members were also very welcoming of us. Nice, well maintained, intimate gym. However, the price point here leads to a clientele of well off folks and tourists and not so much for locals. This is a very similar gym to a neighborhood style gym back in California. It has 2 pieces of e equipment for every major body part but not too much extra. It has a power rack for squats and deads. It has a life fitness cable system with 2 pull downs, 2 rows, a middle cables and 2 end cap tricep push downs. All the equipment is either life fitness or hammer strength, which is pretty much at the top of equipment brands. Has full set of dumbbells up to 100s. Has a dozen (or so) cardio pieces. Even has a few trx and turf for stretching and body weight exercises. Has free WiFi and a shower. It is clean, well lit and a nice parking lot. Has just enough of everything, as long as it doesn't get busy. It is a well thought out gym for lifters. It's a really nice gym that tourists should definitely visit. (It's a 15 minute drive from secrets the resort I'm staying at for 500$ a night suite. That resort gym is 1/4 the size and only has 6 pieces of some lesser brand equipment: techno gym, which looks nice but is about as good nautilus - the has been.). I wish places like this would partner with resorts to provide a decent gym experience.

I felt that I got the most out of my workouts and was never bored because there was always new machines or different variants of exercises to try out. If you're new to the gym scene, this is a great place to start out. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are knowledgeable, providing helpful advice with improving your workouts and executing proper techniques. The best part, however, are the owners Cynthia and Rob who are such a treat to deal with. It's literally called the Sky Pool.. I mean, the beauty is in the name! Imagine this: An infinity…read morepool with a swim up cabana styled bar, TVs, pumping dance music, lounge cabanas on the quiet side if you wish not to rally, and a full view of the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort in all its majestic wonder. For years and years my favorite hangout spot at this resort was, but of course, the Main Pool. All the activities were there, it's an infinity, there's a swim up bar, and ocean views - What more could you want? But then they raised the bar (quite literally) and built what is basically all the goodness of the Main Pool on an upper decker level. So now not only is there a swim up bar, infinity style waterfall pool, and all that, but there's full wrap around breathtaking views of the whole resort AND magnificent sunsets that will have you feeling all kinds of good things. The wait staff up here are always on the ball, checking in on you for more food, drinks, napkins, etc. The towel crew is kind and while it may take a while for them to look through those horribly long paper lists and cross you off, they do it with a smile and as quick as their eyes will allow them. The lounge chairs are sturdy and cozy, but I'd definitely recommend laying a towel down before getting your tan on. There's an even amount of sun chairs versus shaded chairs at this pool, but the pools have very little shade areas while you are in them so be warned on that. The jacuzzi at the Sky Pool is the highest visiting point at this resort, I believe. While warm, bubbly and spacious you may also enjoy the seclusion from the rest of the pool areas and gorgeous tropical views of the palms and ocean. I tend to retreat up here when the pool gets too rowdy or crowded and I need a break from the crowds. All in all, Sky Pool is definitely a must visit if you're staying at the Sunset Beach Resort and/or even if you're at one of the other hotels in town.. Hop in a shuttle and hangout here for a day, but make sure to stay for sunset because the photo op is something you won't want to miss out on.
