Fantastic resell shop In Wilmington, NC! Lots of unique treasures! Owner & staff are wonderful!!

My gosh- I came back a second time the next day and found even more amazing treasures. The employees are nice, willing to make a deal and help you out. They have great prices and amazing vintage and antique items. This was one of the highlight stops in Wilmington area and when I visit again, I'll be back here! Tip: Take time when here and look carefully. There is a ton of items shoved into corners, on shelves and hiding behind leaning photos. It's a treasure hunt. Baker street has a wide collection of vintage items including furniture, clothing, toys albums and more. It's a fun place to wander around in, try stuff on and remember things from your past. Not many deals to be had though, items are generally a little pricey, but I understand they have overhead and need to turn a profit at the end of the day read more

I personally used to love this store. Shopping there is one thing, but I DO NOT recommend selling with them. When I was selling with them every month I had items going missing. Which at first I didn't think too much into but then I started finding other vendors tags in my envelopes, when I returned them to her she just acted like she didn't care and threw them away. Then items of mine that I was told by other employees had sold but yet I never got my tags or money for those said items. (So whose envelope did they end up in???) Then I started having big items that were over $25+ going missing not once or twice but 5 different times then I knew it was time to get away from this scam of a place. They try to tell you how you can decorate your own vendor area that you paid rent for?? They think it's okay for them to go take items off your area for them to "decorate" around the store with. OHH and if you do sale with them, keep track of EVERYTHING cause they will try to take more money out of the money you made from selling that month to pay for "rent" even if you paid rent on the first of the month. Sadly, this place is a freaking joke. definitely DO NOT VENDOR SELL WITH THESE PEOPLE. They don't care enough about their vendors at all. read more

Baker Street Curiosity Shop is an absolute treasure trove! I wandered in and ended up staying for hours, completely lost in all the unique and fascinating finds. Everywhere you look there's something that catches your eye, and I found so many things I didn't even know I needed. In town with a friend and of course we have to search for great thrift stores. I definitely would recommend this one. You are greeted as soon as u walk in and you don't know where to start there is so much so look at. It does appear to be vendors renting areas because there were some areas that had great prices and then others seemed to be a little on the high side but there wasn't anything outrageous. I found some great albums. Would definitely visit again if back in town. read more

They have a uranium glass /vaseline glass room all lit up including a glow in dark velvet poster. So cool. Owners were friendly Prices were already reasonable but owners were so willing to negotiate. This store is one of the coolest curiosity shops I've ever been in. They really have it organized well and the flow is fantastic. Every corner you round holds another interesting display. I especially was drawn to the glowing Uranium glass display. They had that under a black light and I was so taken by the pop of color from that area of the store. Another wonderful area is their vinyl record collection. They have so many great artists, and a few under lock and key. A great selection of old rock favorites. I could have spent hours in here, but unfortunately visited near closing time. They kindly allowed me to wander beyond the posted closing time to finalize my purchases. Fun thrift/antique thrift store with unique items and great selection! If in Wilmington or headed to Wrightsville beach I recommend. I found a beautiful antique chair with tufted velvet and it was in perfect condition and at a great price. Just beware of the tiny section in the back that gives off major serial killer vibes. There are baby animals in formaldehyde in jars on a shelf so I would avoid that section! read more

I'm borderline obsessed with this place! I make several trips a month just to see what's in stock. There's always old music playing on the record player when you walk in the door and it sets the perfect tone for thrift shopping. The owner is as sweet as she can be and is knowledgeable about everything she has for sale. Pricing is reasonable and stock is constantly rotating.
