Everyone was extremely helpful in telling us what each pastry was. We decided on a pastry that had apple inside. Later that day we ate it along with a cup of coffee in our room. It was excellent. Again the people that work here are the nicest you will ever meet. They have a nice selection on pastries, breads, and cakes. All baked at this location.

'Twas a grey drizzly day and as I walked up to the almost unrecognizable entrance next to the moat along Hoofdweg, my stomach, tired from the long journey, was ready to invade some yeasty loaves and conquer some sweets on the side! The fair dutch maiden was quite friendly and even corrected my grammar whilst I spoke in her native tongue. I humbly ordered an old cheese bruin bread sandwich, a loaf of muesli-nuts bread, and a speculaas pie. Yes.... They have pies for this heathen mash of gingerbread crusted butter/marzipan magic!! All other items from the store looked delicious and on par with every other bakery within the Hoofddorp village. And how fare thy bread? OK.... The sandwich was rather boring and I almost forgot its existence. The others were good, but like many other bakeries, I can fare the same with their goods. We ordered the French breakfast which came with a croissant, brioche and baguette slices, assorted jams, coffee, and juice. This was definitely enough to share between two people if you're not used to large breakfasts, but apparently this is typically only for one. The croissant was fresh and flaky and the other breads were good too but nothing to spectacular. The jams however, were great - I really loved the raspberry one but the lemon was good too. Service was really friendly, and they let us upgrade the coffee to a mocha for less than one euro. Overall, it was a great start to the day!

Dishes could have been slightly more salty (e.g. the bread). Nice and friend service, even so it was pretty crowded. I liked the Smoothy, which was made out of fresh Mango's.
