He was kind of flirty, occasionally boastful, occasionally self-deprecating, and did not fail to charm.

Oh, and the cheese is cheap and delicious. I grabbed a huge log of smoked gouda with bacon in it (that helps make the best mac & cheese ever), and I only wish I had grabbed twelve. But then I probably would've been stopped at customs, and they would've taken all my delicious cheese.

They let us sample cheeses we'd never even heard of, and we ended up buying chunks of perhaps a half dozen different kinds, all of them among the best cheeses in our experience. Staff is courteous and helpful, and it made our very first day in Amsterdam a truly special occasion. Rather than go out to dinner, we bought a baguette, opened some wine, and watched the sunset from our hotel room with this simple banquet of bread, wine and cheese in front of us! We loved Amsterdam and will likely go back, and a stop at this L'Amuse will be on our A-List of places to revisit!

Decided this was my best shot and yes they had waters milk juices and chips. I decided what the heck I'll get cheese since it's one of my fav things. Was gonna go with some of my favs but the nice lady offered me to try the Amsterdam ones and she let me try the strong and mild both really good and tastey. The most kind and cheerfull guys are working here, working their butts off and fast as humanly possible :) The check-out line goes through the shop and is sometimes very very long (almost the whole shop) but don't you worry, you'll be next to pay in minutes. Also: do come here when your budget is low, the prices are really moderate. I would pass Mabrouk multiple times, completely oblivious of what a a gem it is. I decided to wonder on in here out of curiousity, and loved everybit of it. My eyes lit up over so many of their products. The only downer about this market, it can get real tight in here. Never the less, Mabrouk has some great products worth checking out and the majority of the items are price reasonable. Surprisingly you will also find a few gluten-free products in here as well.
