Caity came out for the initial visit and taught us a lot about how dogs think and what we as humans do wrong.

He's boarded overnight here a handful of times too when we go on vacation. Roger used to go to work with my husband so Sometimes we'd go months without bringing him in, but no matter how long in between visits, the staff always remembers him/us!!! And now that my husband has a different job, we're bringing roger 1-2 days a week! Marilyn and Sue (and the rest of the staff) are always so friendly and I know they take good care of our boy! Every time we're driving, and we turn onto Coffey rd. from Piner rd. , Roger starts whining and howling , he knows where we're going, and then when we get out of the car, he practically drags me inside he's so exited to be there!!! I love how they have webcams to see the dogs play so I can check in on him when I'm at work. It's nice that they separate the little dogs from the big dogs too!! The prices are reasonable and comparable to other daycare places around. For daycare, It's $20 for half a day (less than 5 hours) and $29 for a full day (more than 5 hours)! And a full day can be from the Time they open to the time they close!! Their hours are great too and work with most peoples schedules: M-F 6:30am-7pm and Sat-Sun 7am-7pm! I know I can trust to bring Roger here and he's well taken care of and loved. And when we bring him home he is one pooped pup!!! Thank you paradise pet resort for taking such good care of our baby!

TLDR: KENNEL COUGH!!…read more My dog is a consistently healthy poodle mix. He spends 4-5 days each week socializing with his dog park friends. Other than having a bad reaction to trazodone on our last flight, and the occasional foxtail issue, he has never had a sick day in his life. We recently used Paradise pets in a pinch because we could not book our house sitter on short notice. We were referred by a friend who planned to board his three dogs at Paradise during the same time. I felt good based on his referral and knowing my dog would be in the company of his dog park friends. Our dog stayed two nights. Before his visit he got all his vax updates and wellness check by our long time vet. Since we picked him up he has been so sick we have visited our vets twice. First for vomiting and Diarrhea. Today we went in for Kennel Cough. With the emergency visits and meds, I have paid $300 in vet bills. Bottom line, I will be looking for other options next time I need to board my dog.

We like that the staff understands Jack and are careful not to overwhelm him with too many other dogs all at once. They are taking a careful and tailored approach for Jack, which is exactly what we were hoping for when we started with the daycare program. I met the owner, Wendy, the other day when I picked Jack up from daycare. She was checking in on the dogs and staff. She is kind, caring, and seems to be very knowledgeable about all kinds of dog breeds and behaviors. The office staff also deserves positive feedback, they kindly changed my daycare appointment today at no extra cost when I couldn't make the appointment. It's also the reason for writing this positive review today. Overall, Olivet Kennel is a professional run facility with an online booking system that still feels like a family business that you can trust. The kennel is clean and inviting. So far, we are very happy with their service!

Be very cautious!…read more My dog got very sick after staying here and almost died. The manager Stephanie admitted that this season was very active. It seems unprofessional to let sick dogs stay there but I guess they just care about money. Also I had prepaid for a daycare package. When I tried to use it they told me that it had expired during the time my dog was sick. I told Stephanie there's no way I could use the prepaid package while my dog was sick. She had not been in contact with any other dogs so I am 100% certain she caught it at Olivet. They never did honor the daycare pass I paid for and told me "sorry but it expired". Seemed odd for them to be so stubborn about a policy after my dog almost died because of them allowing sick dogs to stay there. I paid over $2000 in vet bills because of them and my dog nearly died. You've been warned, proceed with caution.

From the moment we walked in for our initial assessment, Ashley welcomed us with such genuine warmth that I felt comfortable right away. I was thrilled to learn that she would also be our primary trainer. Ashley has a true gift for connecting with both dogs and people. She trained Scout with patience and kindness, and she trained me as well. She taught me how to understand Scout's cues, how to reinforce her progress at home, and how to feel confident in supporting her growth. We also worked with Geraldine and Sophie. Their calm, knowledgeable approach helped Scout grow in confidence and joy. Scout comes home happy, relaxed, and proud of herself, which tells me everything I need to know. Jeremiah was consistently kind and attentive during early pick ups, and Sarah was extraordinary with scheduling. She rearranged things for me more than once with kindness and flexibility. She always made me feel like Scout and I were a priority. The facility is spotless, the staff are deeply knowledgeable, and the dogs are treated with real love. K9 Activity Club has completely transformed the relationship I have with Scout. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

We live in Los Angeles, but turned to K-9 Activity club because Dolly has been happy there in the past. We wound up leaving Dolly for one more week that we originally planned; K-9 accommodated us, much to our relief. Staff showered Dolly with love and we received pictures of big-smile Dolly, sitting in the shade, in her "report cards." Dolly was even more fit and chill when we reunited. It is totally worth it for us to drive up from Los Angeles to Sebastopol to board Dolly among her K-9 family. Peace of mind is everything. A giant thank you to Alicia and K-9 staff! We appreciate you!!!

BTW, I've wanted a dog for 27 years, so this was not an on a whim decision. Tried to look on Petfinder.com, Craig's List, shelters, Google search, no luck. My boyfriend managed to track down a reference for Sharon Curry who runs Bundocks. She answered our questions over the phone and suggested that we stop by to take a look at Bob, a 10 month old Norwich Terrier that had been passed through a few owners and was returned back to the kennel. Bundocks is located in Sebastopol, almost an hour and a half drive from Walnut Creek. It might be a little tricky to find the place. Once you walk in, you're greeted by Corgis, Daschunds, Norwiches, and some other breeds I wasn't familiar with. Sharon was very friendly. She introduced us to Bob and let us walk him around the property for a little bit. After asking Sharon a million questions and then being charmed by Bob's adorable ways, we decided that we wanted to take him home. She also said that if it doesn't work out, she would take him back and we could use the money toward another dog. But Bob is the most perfect dog I could ever ask for. If I were a bitch, he'd be my boyfriend but anyways... Overall, Sharon was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. She didn't pressure us into taking Bob home. He charmed us all on his own. If you're looking for a Norwich Terrier, see Sharon! (check my pix to see what Bob looks like)

She loved to chew on everything... baseboards, cabinets, fabric, paper, outdoor drip hose and low voltage electrical wiring! She also loved digging in the yard. She was afraid of most everyone and everything, including people and other animals. We could not get her to venture out of the house, other than to go into our back yard and would not go on a walk. Zuki has been a godsend! She spent lots of time with us, training us to train our dog. She demonstrated behavioral techniques, and gave us numerous opportunities to practice these while she was present. We had weekly homework assignments and she also provided us with additional suggestions on ways to alter Lexi's behavior, as well as suggestions for chew toys and rewarding treats. Now, at 3 years old, we can say, for the most part, we have a well behaved pet who follows commands, no longer chews, rarely digs, and loves to take walks! She is still getting used to other animals, but even in that, she is making progress. We would not hesitate to recommend Zuki and Can-Do Canine!
