Needed to have a will and power of attorney done. Before I go on please be advised that this is truly a discount law firm where the savings are passed on to you. There is no fancy furniture, no large closed in offices nor are there bright reception areas. The clerk I met with was punctual casually well dressed and well groomed. His knowledge of estate law was excellent while discussing my situation our discussion frequently crossed over into family law and real estate law. He was willing to do more that he was only required to do. Heartfelt apologies for failing to remember his name. Remember this is a discount law firm where there are no fancy business cards. Expect only hard nosed advice and straight up no holds barred reality when it comes to family law questions. The only thing I found a little off was that business is conducted in an open air cubicle with people out and about out side the office. If privacy is a concern for you then be prepared to pay substantially more at a fully decked out law firm. If you are like me you know that people around you have their own problems and do not have time to dwell on yours. The savings of 40% are what attracted me as well as the free parking. Sorry for being so long winded but I hope this helps. I will use their services again even if it means they'll take a little more time.

I have worked as a Realtor in for over 13 years and closed 100s of transactions in my career…read more Recently I was challenged with the most difficult deal of my entire life. The sale price of the property was only $890 000 and the liens registered against it, which included a Revenue Canada super priority lien, was closer to $1 200 000. The deal was so complication that not a single lawyer I had worked with in the past would agree to get involved in the transaction. I had to research lawyers that specialized in foreclosure transactions (even though this was a voluntary sale by the Seller,) and by the grace of God I found Yasmin Nakhuda. The deal required very difficult manoeuvring, balancing, strategizing, and patience. I sincerely doubt any other lawyer could have gotten this deal closed. Yasmin, representing the Seller, successfully negotiated three extensions, settlements from all three secured creditors, convinced the Buyers to pay an additional $20 000 AND managed to get the Buyers to sign a waiver agreeing to not pursue the Seller for their damages caused by the three extensions and eventual increased purchased price. She also convinced Revenue Canada to agree to write a release letter that had never in history been written before. It's not enough to say that Yasmin had the very specialized qualifications and skill set to get this deal done, she had a passion for what she was doing and an invested commitment to her client. Moving forward, Yasmin Nakuda will be the only real estate lawyer that I recommend to my clients.
