It was our first time and they made us feel extremely welcomed and invited. That's a HUGE green flag in my book. You want to be around people excited about their job and what they do. When I went to pick up my friend's kid, he was very excited for what he cooked. I got to try some of the pizza he made and honestly, the crust was better than a lot of the pizza joints out there and the crust I've made before. He's in the older class (pre teens and teens) and seemed to enjoy cooking with them. Afterwards, the front desk told us about the different classes and programs. We got the recipe for this week and past weeks so we can try them at home as some of the items caught my eye. He loved the class and will be going back. If your kid has an eye on cooking and wants to learn, I'd definitely sign them up here. It's always good to have some hands on help to ask questions and learn. Wish they had more classes and we missed out on sign ups for the summer. It's $40 a class or 4 weeks is $145 I believe. 90 minute classes. Since they already have the ingredients and everything, it's worth the price.

I had watched him on TV for years taking on the best pitmasters across America and it was an honor to meet him in person. I have been a backyard BBQ guy for over a decade but I learned so much in 6 hours that it motivated me to fire up the smoker all Labor Day weekend for carne asada, ribs and waygu steaks and next weekend I will attempt Harry's method for trimming, seasoning and cooking brisket. Not only did I learn a lot, the class re-energized me to really get back in to smoking meats again(and possibly purchase a Weber Smokey Mountain grill).

In this class you will learn everything you wanted to know about BBQ from selecting your meats, trimming the meat (fat, etc) rubs, injections, sauces, times and temperatures of cooking, different woods smokers etc. different regions and styles of BBQ. There is so much more. You learn to love yourself and others. No matter what part of the world we come from we are all the same. Food is one of the best ways to bring everyone together as one. Throughout the class, you get to sample different items. Save room for the huge spread served at lunch. The leftovers are evenly boxed up for everyone to take home. Included in the class is lifetime technical support if you have any questions. You also keep your apron, class book, graduation certificate, leftovers, and a bag of rub for your homework assignment. I highly recommend this class for all. Harry is a genuine person, down to earth, and a funny guy. You will learn so much, enjoy some great food, and have great memories.

Even after the 1st day my meals at home were suddenly consistent and significantly better. 12 weeks later and I am confidently relaxed in my kitchen. I enjoy the ease that I feel now; from preparing dinner, menu planning, temp control, and little tips you just can't learn on google. Learning in person from Chef Jason and Chef Ben with a group of funny, eager, and caring adults has really shaped how I can give back to my family. This was the common denominator for all the students in our course. We wanted to learn a new skill to share with the ones we care about most, our families. "I haven't made a sh**** meal since day one of this course" - quote from my fiancé Take the leap and invest in yourself and your family plus laughing about it along the way is always a plus.

The instructors were charismatic and knowledgable. Whenever I asked a question they answered the hell out of it. They were incredibly generous with their time and expertise. That said, I often went home unable to connect what I experienced in class with the home environment. I understand they were trying to discourage relying on recipes, but the handout was rarely referenced during class and it seemed not to be the chef's own recipe? As a beginner to many of these dishes, I found it difficult to recreate some of them on my own. A few yrs later I remember certain things like knife skills, seasoning tips, and how friendly the other students were (belated thank you to my table partner who sliced my live lobster's head for me because I was too squeamish)
