Best ServSafe class ever!!! Took the in person class with Edward and he was dynamic and put me at ease with all of the information you are given to study on-line beforehand. This was my first time taking the test and a lot of the information was new, as I work in a specialty food shop, not a regular restaurant, so I didn't know a lot of it or its practice in work environments and this class sorted all of that out for me. Contacted company on day 30 per representative they don't have my information but they cleared the payment on the 6/7/2026, also I left messages and voicemail and didn't get a call back until 30th days later. I just spent money on this program and it literally did not update my food handlers card, and then I went on to their customer service and the woman on there was just rude. And I asked to speak to a manager and they're like oh we'll take your number down and our manager will call you soon as possible. I haven't heard anything back at all. I was enrolled in two courses. Each time I called customer service, never was a wait. A woman named denya (spelling could be off) Call was made today june 9,2025 For two months....I could not get to my one course. My teacher enrolled it in two different accounts. This company for managers food handler certificate is a joke! They charge 179 the training material is awful and dry as well as they just send you emails that really are not helpful! Then you try to log in and it says wrong language. Call a bunch of numbers so they don't charge you a no show fee. Absolutely garbage! Go for a real company that is actually helpful read more

My instructor Edward Lee was excellent. He had explained each subject that we needed to know before we took the exam. He answered all our questions in a way that was understandable. I registered for the online training and in person test back in September 2020. I have called three times and they haven't scheduled my test. They keep saying they will send me an email with next steps and I have yet to hear back. I am extremely frustrated and they refuse to give me a refund. I do not recommend this company and wish I had looked into other ones to get my food manager certification. read more

I had the worst experience with this company. Not only did the training never load but, when I tried to get ahold of the company I never got a response back. Then after giving up with their training and it came time to take the test they led me in circles to schedule it. The facility I took my test was fine but, that was no reflection on this company. I was told that I would receive my certificate in 3 weeks. Months later I still do not have my certificate and going through the same bs with trying to get ahold of custumer service. Today I finally got ahold of a human and they gave no solution, cause, or apology other then sending me a new one. Which will take another 2 weeks. When I asked for a phone number to file an official complaint they gave me a phone number to an automated system that gave me no option to file a complaint or talk to a human. Find another company for training or just go straight through a testing center read more

I had to get my Management Food Handlers Certificate a few weeks ago and went to the Carlsbad location (even though it said Escondido). Classroom was clean, teacher was FANTASTIC and the class went by quickly (so it seamed). The teacher (never stated his name) was a professor in Santa Ana, Ca. too, so he said. Honestly, on of the best teachers I have ever had. He was funny, witty, personable and above all taught in a way it was easy to learn and pay attention. This guy ROCKED it, I go my scores 2 weeks later and passed with flying colors! Only drawback is waiting 2 + weeks, really? This day in age everything is quick, especially for a scantron. Anyhow, great company, awesome teacher and a very good process besides waiting, and waiting for the news on passing or not and getting the certificate. Cheers! read more

I registered with PFS so I could review and take the ServSafe Food Manager exam. The online process, finding the class, taking the exam were well explained. When I registered I quickly received confirmation and information on what to do and material for study at home. Arriving at the small 2-story plaza, be wary of the tiny drive through for the small lot. Classroom is located next to a Tattoo shop. The proctor, Nancy, was very nice and explained things well while trying to keep the class a bit interactive and sharing her insight from being in the industry. All really helpful in review for the exam and made the review time go by quickly. Adequate instructions and easy to take the online exam (must bring own laptop) and find out if you pass right away. They went above and beyond to fix the customer service issue I had. Although it's unfortunate that one employee gave me a hard time. As soon as I posted this review I received at least two emails and a phone call. I emailed with Claudia who was very kind and fast. I spoke with Fernando on the phone who was so apologetic (although it wasn't his fault at all). I explained what happened on the phone and they assured me this isn't how anything is handled within their company and that they would absolutely take care of it. I'm so glad they have voice recordings as well and can go back and listen! I have never talked to two more apologetic people and actually felt like step will be taken to improve. I never write reviews but I was so upset and they both calmed me down and now I have such a better outlook on this company! I did the one day class. Connie was our proctor. I have nothing but good things to say about her. She didn't waste your time and went over only what you need to know, she gave great tips on helping you remember information, throughout she would test you so it sticks in your head and on top of all of that she was funny and kept it enjoyable. Because of her I was able to pass It was helpful with the exam because you could flag a question and go back to the ones you were unsure about. Overall would highly recommend!!! read more

I had to take a class to become a manager for my work, and I am so glad I enrolled in this class! The instructor Donny was really fun and effective. All of the material he covered on his PowerPoint came up on the exam. Listen carefully because he emphasizes points that you should really remember. He's also a natural great public speaker and engaging so you won't fall asleep! The PowerPoint he uses is animated and uses lots of pictures which help make the time go by fast. The entire instructional session is 3 hours and the test is two hours. They gave us a mid-day break and a lunch break which was super helpful! He also shows us lots of videos. I'd recommend anyone taking this class to pass the food managers certification. High pass rate for this instructor as well! When I have to renew my certification, I will be back! read more

Horrible experience. Customer service is awful. Also if you have any issues, they do not care to come to resolution- instead just keep money they are not authorized to have. Try a different company and save yourself the trouble of dealing with this group! EDIT: In an attempt to have my review changed, the company contacted me and stated they refunded my fee when they in fact never did. This company is extremely difficult to work with and again, takes money from customers which they are not entitled to, and then lie about it. If you are reading this and have the chance to go with a different company, I URGE you to do so. Save yourself the hassle and money! I paid to take the online food handler and safety class and completed the course. When I went to print out my card my information was not correct. I called to try to get the issue resolved and spoke to 3 different people. They all told me the same thing, once the training was completed it was out of their hands and no changes could be made. Instead they told me they I had to pay to take the course all over again. I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager and was sent to voicemail each time. This was such a frustrating experience and their customer service was inadequate. I would not recommend this this company to anyone. read more

I manage gas stations. I'm not as familiar with all the food safety laws and regulations as everyone in the class is but I managed to be the first one to finish the exam and I passed without any issues! Needed to renew my Manager certification and googled this place. Came to take the class with the instructor Donnie! He was very welcoming and friendly. I love that the class is so small so that you can interact better with the instructor and ask as many questions as you like. When you sign up, they make sure to call you and verify everything you need to do before attending the course. They have coffee, chips and water when arriving and of course a clean bathroom to use whenever is needed. You get an hour lunch before your test to get some brain food in! You get to know immediately after you finish your test if you passed or not. They also have parking in the back of the building. Would highly recommend :) Thanks again Donnie! read more
