When my grandmother's not home, it also means no dinner is available, because I prefer only her cooking (well, that is, if I'm not craving for fast food). However, there is another dish that captures my stomach and my tastebuds when Lola's not home. And this exception is no other than Baliwag's Lechon Manok!
If I could count how many Baliwag Lechon Manok I've already eaten, I can't. During those nights when I wished to eat something fast yet of quality food, I would call up my yaya and ask her to buy one whole Lechon Manok for me, and I would try to share it with her, hah, try only. Good thing there is a Baliwag Lechon Manok stall only a block away from my house!
The Lechon Manok is one of the best I've tasted, with the taste quality never degrading (well, the chicken shrinks over time, but that's not their fault), and the recipe of how it must be cooked is maintained to optimum level.
Tip: Tell the staff NOT to cut off the chicken's internal organs (they're cooked and clean, don't worry), because there is a tendency that some of the meat will be cut away along with the organs. Also, ask for extra salsa! read more
