The short story is: they lie/gaslight after making you wait 50 minutes for your scheduled appointment, pretending that you came in an hour early (see below), even when you have an appointment confirmation showing that you came in on time. And after calling them on it, they still pretend like you were the one who made the mistake. They also will offer you things in the chair, like fluoride, without telling you that they charge $20 extra for that and that insurance doesn't cover it after the age of 18. The long story is: my husband and I usually go to the dentist together. Today we went to our 8am appointments. I scheduled them first thing because I find that doctors and dentists usually get you in closer to your appointment time when you get their first appointments of the day. We showed up at 7:57am and the lady at the front desk said we were both checked in. This was our 4th or 5th time going to this dentist. My husband was called back for his cleaning at around 8:07am. I sat there and watched as everyone who came in after us was called back. At 8:25am, the lady at the front desk saw me sitting alone in the waiting room and asked me my name again. I gave it to her, and she responded that she just wanted to make sure I was checked in and that she was sorry for the wait. No big deal, I thought. These things happen. I sat there. No one talked to me again until 8:48am when the lady came to call me back. After she called my name out, I responded that it was too late and that I didn't have time to be seen because I had already been sitting there for 50 minutes and my husband had to get to work, and since we drove together, we would have to leave as soon as he was done. The lady asked me to hold on a minute and returned to the back. This is where they lost me. The lady returned and announced to the waiting room that my appointment was actually at 9am, and that they were sorry if I misunderstood my appointment time. This was a lie. I think she said that to make the practice look better to all the people sitting in the waiting room (several people had showed up since the last time they spoke with me). My husband had received a text reminder yesterday from this practice with both of our names on it confirming our 8am appointments. So if she went back to check the system, she made the decision to lie to me about it. This practice had already done some questionable things, like making us wait more than 20 minutes for scheduled appointments and asking us if we wanted fluoride in the chair, then letting us know after the fact that there was an extra charge for that. Those are annoying, but not deal breakers for me. It was the lying that got me. If you're like me and sick of all the lying and cheating going on in the world today, I suggest you find another dentist. read more

This dentist office is unorganized and unprofessional. My kids have had a few appointments here. More than once they have called and asked to reschedule or push appointments back. My daughter had some kind of abscess and they called 45 minutes before her appointment and asked to push it. We didn't take her to the doctor that day because they assured me they could get her in at 3. Then called and they couldn't. I planned my day around that appointment! I ended up taking her to an urgent care. I will never take any of my kids there again. They have zero respect for peoples time. read more

This is probably the worst dentist I have been to in a very long time. They deleted our appointments, then called to reschedule, and I was not able to go the same day because they no longer had four appointments. I rescheduled and then the canceled my appointment again. The day I showed up for my rescheduled appointment, they informed me that I would have to "pay" out of pocket for a cleaning. Which I know for a fact is completely covered under my insurance. Never going back to this dentist again. They also try to upsale as many things as possible, I.e. teeth whitening, crowns, etc. read more

New patient after years of going to a dentist in Keller. It was a wonderful experience. From setting up the appointment to filling out paperwork online ahead of time through the end of the appointment, everything and everyone was great. I was called several times prior to my appointment to see if anything special was needed and to welcome me to their practice. Appointment was right on time and Britney the hygienist was really nice and explained everything as we went along. The dentist came in to do the exam and was absolutely great. Not a big fan of going to the dentist, but the staff makes you feel comfortable and am looking forward to having a regular dentist again. read more

BEST DENTIST EVER! It has been a long time since I have been to the dentist. My last dentist always seemed rushed, careless and didn't seem to even like his job. I was referred to Ballard Family Dentistry by a friend so I decided to give them a shot. I was greeted with a smile, treated like an old friend and left satisfied. Dr. Wermuth is an artist! I had a minor toothache so naturally I needed a dentist appointment. However we are new to the area and had not found a dentist yet. My daughter went to one when we first moved here last year. I tried calling them however the office staff was extremely rude. So I didn't go with them and went back to the drawing board. I found Ballard Family Dentistry and everyone I spoke to was so nice! Made the appointment and they were extra careful due to covid. They came to my car and had me sign papers and took my temperature before I even stepped in the building. Turns out I had an abscessed tooth. Because of the location of the tooth they had to refer me to a dental surgeon to do the root canal. Their referral was also really amazing. They took care of my fitting for my crown really fast once I got the root canal. I had to go back in because of a broken tooth in another area that started to hurt after the root canals. It was on a Friday and they squeezed me in for an emergency visit. They explained everything very thoroughly and that I was maxed out on my benefits for the year. But they found a less expensive option to hold me over until next year. They staff are all very caring and funny. It was very clean and they sanitized after every patient left. I am so thankful I found them I know they are going to take care of my family and myself as if we are their own family. 1000% recommend them!! read more

I posted this review to Google review but I wanted Yelp users to know about Ballard Dentistry too so I am reposting it here. After a lengthy period of neglecting my teeth, I had a marathon session getting 4 extractions, 5 fillings, a crown and a bridge. I was in the chair about 6 hours. It was hands down the best experience I've ever had at a dentist office. From start to finish the professionalism and compassion of entire staff was top notch. There were no high pressure tactics. Possible options were explored and we decided on the best course of action together that fit my budget. Amira worked on the prices with me and we reached a fair deal for both me and their office. More than fair to me considering the excellent job Dr. Williams and his assistant Debbi did during the long procedure. Dr. Williams did something I thought was impossible too. He extracted 4 teeth and I barely had any pain at all even the next couple of days. I took the Rx'd Tylenol 3 but if you've ever had that pain reliever before you know it is not a high caliber product for alleviating pain. Another thing unique to my experience with dentists is the structured way they move from point A (being a new customer) to point B (talking with the Doc) about what you want/need done. You speak first with an assistant who helps clarify what you want and need by asking intelligent questions while she takes notes. Then when the Doc comes in she goes over her notes with him and then he talks to you about them. Fantastic. No being put on the spot when the Doc says what do you need. And hearing your responses played back by the assistant makes it easy to interject things you might have forgotten, overstated or not thought of earlier. Then the Doc reviews the possible approaches with their drawbacks and benefits and a decision is reached by the both of you. I'd also like to point out that I called and made an appointment for an exam/evaluation and they were able to work me in getting all my stuff done in one day on the first visit. I never felt rushed or like the doc was distracted either. If he needed to numb me up some more he'd zap me and then go take care of another patient for a few minutes while I got numb. It was perfect. My jaw got a break, other people with much less time intensive stuff were seen and everyone came out ahead. Kudos to Dr. Williams for doing that so adroitly. My temp bridge had come loose so I walked in yesterday afternoon and they were still able to work me in to get it re-cemented. Erica did a great job and was always making sure the procedure wasn't causing me undo pain. If you go in thinking of yourself as part of the team that'll be addressing your dental issues I have zero doubt you'll love the experience too. I highly recommend them -Darin read more
