Hi all, I am a mom…read moreof a Newport Beach 11 year old boy who has played Little League and club ball. My son has much talent, but is not completely dedicated to the sport at 11 yrs of age. Shockingly, we thought that his baseball career was over because he was not focussed. Crazy, right? Long story/short... Sports in this area are freakishly competitive. It is to the point that you question yourself or your child and it is wrong. We found this amazing coach who has an amazing sports team that really separates his team from the mainstream sports enthusiasts. Every boy on the team loves the coach. He teaches them much more than the typical league would teach an 11 yr old. He holds them to professional standards, which is not very common in such an environment that most kids are from. This is a very likable attribute. The team develops together and as a community. Honestly, no kid is left behind, and they do really well in tournaments. The major key with this organization is communication with the coach. He will always give you honest feedback. P.S. I have never initiated a review..... but i did for this sports club!

They make friends from all over the baseball community and at all ages. They learn baseball skills, but also to be little men, as they are responsible for their own stuff, carry their own bags, etc. My son has learned more than just baseball these summers and we are so grateful to Mark and his staff for providing him with these amazing summer (and winter break) experiences. The city keeps this location in great shape, and it's near the ocean so it rarely feels super hot as the coastal breeze keeps the temperatures down.

What makes it one of the best Sunday leagues in the area is how well and organized everything is. Mac does an amazing job getting everything put together. This little details are important too. They have a separate Golden Boot trophy for the highest goal scorer. There are pictures after every week of play for us narcissists out there that like to see ourselves playing. Lastly, they update their website with up to date rankings, points, and goal scorers for each team.

He genuinely thinks he is right on every single decision he makes, which is mathematically impossible. When you bring a clear, objective mistake to his attention, even offer him to see the video he doubles down, shifts the blame, and refuses to compromise. Dealing with that level of delusion and ego makes playing here exhausting. If you enjoy playing in a league where the guy running it behaves like a dictator who can never do wrong, this is the place for you. Otherwise, take your team and your money somewhere else where the management actually lives in reality.

They have two baseball fields, one basketball court, lots of soccer fields, a kids playground, and a community center. There are plenty of grassy areas throughout the park. The community center can be rented out and has a kitchen and tables included with the reservation. There are also public restrooms. The park is well maintained and mostly quiet and peaceful other than the kids and parents cheering at soccer on the weekend. It's the location of a lot of adult sports leagues as well during the week.
