Our tour guides were hilarious, entertaining, and did an amazing job making us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire experience. They even sang Happy Birthday to him at the end of our zipline tour as he repelled from the tree. They really made the tour memorable. We also reserved one of a Treehouse for an overnight stay, and it was absolutely beautiful! It had such a fun glamping feel and was fully furnished with everything we needed. I was worried I might be cold overnight, but there was a heater that kept the treehouse nice and cozy. The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating from start to finish. We truly had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend Sonoma Zipline Adventures and the treehouse stay to our friends and family. So much fun, beautiful scenery in the middle of the forest. Great accommodations, wonderful staff, and definitely worth it! We can't wait to come back!

Very peaceful and smooth journey including the landing. After our journey, we were shuttled back to the meeting point and treated with champagne. My family drove up from the south bay this past weekend, even drove up a day early to get a hotel room nearby. We got there a little after 5am, no easy feat with a 1yr old and 6yr old, but we made it. We saw most of the glow show, it was fine. And then we learned that due to weather, the balloons would not be flying. We took it in stride, and tried to enjoy the event as much as possible, you can't control the weather, and we wouldn't want anyone to get hurt. My wife decided to at least take the 6yr old for a balloon ride. They had 3 balloons giving rides. After waiting in line for about 2 hrs, it was my wife/son's turn. Apparently something changed in the weather, one of the other balloons already stopped giving rides about 2 min prior, and after sitting in the basket for about 2 min while discussing the possibility of canceling the ride, and going up maybe 5 feet in the air for a few seconds, they decided to cancel the ride. I thought they would at least provide a refund, or at least put my son in the 3rd balloon that still had a long line, and was 50+ feet in the air. Nope, they blamed the weather and refused to give a refund, or let him go in the other line for the balloon that was still going up. My kid was so disappointed and did not understand why. The very LEAST they could do is refund the $30 we paid, nope, they decided they would do nothing and left a very disappointed kid. It's only $30, nothing compared to the gas/hotel/other costs i spent to come to this event. It was the principle. This event is not for kids. It ss for the organization to squeeze pennies out of kids and their families. I will never return to this event, and will discourage anyone else I know from attending this group's events as well.

We bought 4 tickets via a Groupon deal about 2 months ago and scheduled a balloon flight for the morning of 8/18/2012. We arrived at a parking lot in Healdsburg at 6AM where we were scheduled to be picked up at 6:30AM. There were roughly 20+ other people in the parking lot waiting. We waited for over an hour.. We were never picked up. Phone calls to the company go straight to a voice mailbox which is full. I emailed a complaint letter to support@balloonwinetours.com and have yet to hear back from them 4 days later. The company's web site has been down since before our scheduled flight. I did get a refund from Groupon and opened a dispute with my credit card company for the "taxes and fees" charge made directly to the company.

Very unfortunate since it was going to be a wedding celebration. After purchasing the vouchers I tried to make my reservations and had several problems doing so. They had the numbers entered incorrectly and then the system was done repeatedly for maintenance. It was impossible to get anyone on the phone and it took them several days to respond to emails. After about 3 weeks of trying to make reservations I was finally able to do so. Originally I was told the flight would leave from St. Helena at one time and then I received an email saying that the location and time had changed. Luckily Groupon was very helpful and they've refunded my vouchers. Now I need to work on getting the taxes back.

The view was beautiful, but we got bored at some point because the view is the same the whole ride. The balloon travels between mile to 3 miles per hour. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing, mainly due to poor planning by the staff. We booked for four people on a Thursday - my wife, myself, and our two teens (14 and 16)--with the expectation that we'd have two boats, which is standard for this group size. However, the team miscounted the boats that morning. When we pointed this out, instead of fixing the mistake, they pulled us aside and crammed all four of us into a boat intended for three, squeezing in an extra seat to make it "fit." Visibly frustrated, the team promised to speak with the owner and make it right (it was two high schoolers running it that day). I didn't argue and wanted to at least try to have a good time and not be that Dad. The result on the boat? A very cramped and uncomfortable setup that made the inflatable much harder to steer and navigate--especially on a 9-mile river trip. This wasn't the experience we paid for or expected based on our prior trips. The staff seemed more focused on moving us along rather than making it right. Still haven't heard from the owner. We'll likely explore other options next time around. Disappointed to see the service slip like this.

We crash landed and my son experienced a broken clavicle, punctured lung, and lots of bruising. As I know this things happen, I feel Captain Chuck is vary unprofessional in his work. One month later, we did another jump at NorCal and expressed our desire to continue. Tyler & Jim explained the process of getting licensed and by then we knew there was no turning back. We started our AFF classes because we knew skydiving was something we wanted to keep doing... and we wanted to get licensed to jump alone. Tyler and everyone at NorCal Skydiving have been absolutely incredible. From day one, they've been supportive, motivational, and genuinely encouraging. Safety is clearly a top priority, and the team is always honest, fair, and professional while still making the entire experience fun and empowering. This is the kind of place that makes you believe in yourself and pushes you--safely and responsibly--to do things you never thought you could. I truly cannot recommend NorCal Skydiving enough. We spent the day at NorCal Skydiving yesterday celebrating my mom's 85th birthday -- yes, her 85th…read more(and not even her first jump -- she also went at 80!). About a dozen of us jumped together, while other friends and family came along to cheer us on. It was truly one of the best family outings ever. The weather was perfect, the atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and the entire staff made the day unforgettable. From start to finish, every instructor and team member was not only highly professional and experienced, but also welcoming, funny, and able to put even the most nervous among us completely at ease. They took the time to check in with each of us about our comfort levels and gave us the choice to either soar gently like a bird or try out some more daring stunts -- always safe, but always exciting. I want to give a special shout-out to Tyler, my instructor, who made my first jump feel natural, safe, and completely exhilarating. Also to Jim, who wasn't working that day but hung out with us, shared amazing stories, and made us feel like part of the NorCal Skydiving family. What a pleasure to meet him! I honestly didn't know what to expect and thought I'd be terrified once I was up in the plane, but instead my fears disappeared and I was able to embrace the entire experience. The mix of freedom, serenity, and sheer accomplishment is something I'll never forget. If you've ever thought about skydiving, do it -- and do it here. NorCal Skydiving gave us one of the best days of our lives. I can't recommend them highly enough and I will definitely be back.
