This was an amazing experience! We stayed in the treehouse and did the 14 ziplines. When we arrived the staff were great! They explain everything to you before you head up to the first 7 ziplines. We gave them our luggage and it is delivered to our treehouse. The two young adults that guided us on the first day of the tour were awesome! Great sense of humor, provided us with a little history and provided us with info about the trees. They made the zipline tour unforgettable. As far as the ziplines, they were great! The first day we did the lower half. After that we had a short hike to our treehouse. They explained everything to us and made sure that all of our questions were answered. The treehouse is amazing! Beautiful inside and stocked with water and snacks. They even provided us with a charcuterie board upon arrival to our treehouse. Dinner was amazing! They delivered it and set it up for us on one of the decks as we had asked. The treehouse does not have a shower, however just a short walk and you'll find very nice showers. Nothing like a shower that you would find at a camp ground, but rather individual showers that were impressive. Wanted to add that the treehouse was warm, stocked with games, comfortable, very clean and memorable. Just amazing! The next morning our breakfast was delivered by the chef. Another awesome meal! It came with coffee, water and orange juice. Then we started our second half of the "top" ziplines. Once again, an awesome adventure with two new tour guides. They were great as well, kept it humorous and did not rush us while sharing interesting information with us about the trees. I didn't plan on writing such a long review, however this was such a great experience. Im sure that I will be back. I did see a lot of people doing the ziplines, however if possible I HIGHLY recommend staying in one of the treehouses. It will be a memory that you will never forget. read more

I brought my 10-year-old granddaughter for her birthday and they treated her careful consideration of her age and her inexperience. They made her feel comfortable and fun for her. I can't say enough about the Treehouse~I was like a 4 star hotel . Absolutely everything you needed to be comfortable and safe. As an outdoorsy lad & adventure thrill seeker, SZA was exactly I need. Living life on the edge. Our young safety guides, Shannon and Rebecca, were phenomenal, knowledgeable and professional. It took a little over to 1 1/2 hours to complete the course. Price was worth it. Plenty of parking. Cell reception is nonexistent but they have a free wifi at base camp only. The best part was the majestic Redwood tree top view and I loved it! I felt their natural power; and those trees, they sway and talk as the wind blows. Overall, I had a bloody fantastic time. From the time we checked in, Bryan and Rebecca made us feel welcome. The tour and zip line guides were awesome, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. The zip lines themselves were amazing. It was a great day and the views were majestic. Treehouse: it was clean, well lit and good amenities. They had a charcuterie board when we got to the treehouse and both dinner and breakfast were really good. They had snacks and bottled water. I was initially drawn to the ziplining treehouse adventure here due to a Facebook ad with a coupon code for 20% off plus 2 GoPro rentals (valued at $49 each). How often do you ever hear anyone say they stayed in treehouse that's 80 to 100 feet above ground? This was an opportunity worth experiencing! I'd recommend 10/10! INITIAL LOGISTICS: Ryan will be ready with puns to check you in at the Welcome center. Upon checking, you'll place all your belongings in a bin. We had three adult guests and the bin was the right size for 2 backpacks and a duffle bag. For adults, I'd say stick to 4 backpacks. It's recommended to have clothes with zipper pockets but there will be a small bin to place items into before your ziplines. TOUR GUIDE: On day 1, my guides were Mari and Sofia. On day 2, Mari again with Pao. The guides were very punny and had great chemistry. They helped my friend ease her nerves with their long term experience and safety knowledge. YURT: There is a heater but no air conditioning. It's recommended to do the treehouse adventure not during the summer. I went during a day off on MLK's bday in January with cooler weather. RESTROOM: There was a 5 gallon tank for the sink and a separate tank outside the yurt for toilet flushes. The water was cold. There also were pads and tampons provided. There was a communal shower facility close to the yurts with hot water. The shower facility had 4 stalls each with a sink, body towels, face towel, hair dryer, pads, and tampons. DRINKING WATER: I brought in 2 water bottles, one at 24 oz and 1 at 12 oz. I had topped off my 12 oz bottle at the Welcome center on day 1. After your forest flight, you are given a 16.9 oz bottle of water. Upon entering the yurt, there is one 20.3 oz water bottle per person included plus a hot water thermos pitcher. We were able to request a refill on hot water. At dinner time, we had a glass bottle of water like they have at restaurants. I did use some of this water to brush my teeth at night to conserve the tank water for washing my hands after all my toilet uses. At breakfast, we got another hot water thermo pitcher plus the glass bottle of water. I used the cooled off hot water from the night before to brush my teeth in the morning. FOOD: There was a charcuterie board, 1 bag of white cheddar popcorn per person, 1 trail mix bag per person, and 1 packet of hot chocolate per person along with teas, coffee packets and condiments already in the yurt. Dinner was provided with a glass bottle of water, bread (baguette), salad (spinach, feta, and cranberry), entree, side, and dessert (crème brûlée). My friends and I ordered the chicken with a side of polenta, steak with a side of mashed potatoes and roasted squash, and the Chef's Choice which was salmon with a side of mashed squash with bell peppers and cherry tomatoes. Our dishes all had nice presentation and were so delicious. The steak was medium, juicy, and very tender. If you do not like medium, you can put in a request to be cooked otherwise upon booking your stay. There was also A1 in the condiment basket in the yurt already provided. Breakfast had a glass bottle of water, glass bottle of orange juice, pitcher thermos of hot water and coffee, mini chocolate danishes, mixed fruit (watermelon, pineapple, blueberry, cantaloupe, honey dew), and our entrees of half a slice of French toast, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, and two slices of bacon. The French toast was so crispy good! I think it may have been fried well. read more

The crew were super professional and everything started on time. The treetop experience was pretty awesome, one of a kind. It is pricey, but I can understand the upkeep cost. The dinner and breakfast were included and they were served hot and on time. We also arrived at the treetop with an afternoon snack plate in the treetop house waiting for us. The plate of snack was pretty, but maybe less dried fruit and more cheese and meat next time. The fresh blueberries went bad, yuck! Other than that, the staff stocked popcorn, trailmix, bottled water, hot cider and hot chocolate mix for us along with other condiments. They also stocked a variety of board games for us as Internet was super slow and I appreciated that. The toilet in the treetop worked really well, so that's a relief. The zipline portion was fun and exciting. We got to zipline our way into the treetop village and zipline our way out the next morning The kids loved that the most. read more

The Tree Tops Ziplines were exhilarating! If you're not afraid of heights, I highly recommend this experience. My family's favorites were the longest zipline and the fast and furious one. We had a party of 6 and were grouped with 2 other guests for a total of 8. I think 8 is the max per group. There were continuous guests arriving and checking in, so do not be late. Every guest is weighed at the check-in point to ensure they are not under or over the weight restrictions. Guests cannot bring their own water bottles as they do provide water right before you get on the first zipline and half way through the course. Guests cannot wear their own sun hats nor carry any loose items. All personal belongings such as purses, etc that we couldn't bring with us, were kept safely in a box in the gift shop. We retrieved our belongings after we finished the course. It took us a total of 3 hours from the pick-up point back to the drop-off point. They have a small pickup truck that transports guests to and from the check-in point to the gift shop where we received our orientation and safety equipments. Next to the gift shop are restrooms which I thought were clean for its location. Along with wearing harnesses, we had to wear helmets and gloves. We saw them cleaning the helmets after they were worn, but not sure if gloves are cleaned after they're worn. There were 7 ziplines and 2 bridges for the Tree Tops course. There is a set of stairs leading to the first zipline. If you're out of shape like me, these set of stairs can be quite a challenge. I was huffing and puffing by the time I got to the top. We had 2 tour guides. Julio and Zo were very friendly and knowledgeable. They kept us entertained and safe. They also offered to take pictures using their own camera near the end of the course, but it wasn't working during our tour. Luckily, I had my fanny pack and kept my phone safely zipped in it and was able to take some photos throughout our tour when I was safely on the platforms. Next door to the check-in area, is a campsite for kids. Because we arrived early, we took a quick tour of this outdoor facility, which has a playground, basketball court and volleyball court. Prior to my very first experience ziplining, my boyfriend was out here a couple of months ago for a bachelor party. He had an absolute blast and he wanted to introduce me to this spot. Seeing it was about 2 hours away, we decided to make a weekend trip out of it. We booked about 1 month in advance by calling Sonoma Zipline because if you have an AAA membership, they'll provide a discount when booking. We opted for a late afternoon zipline starting at 4:15 pm. They mention during booking to arrive 30 mins ahead of your scheduled time, but that's mainly to fill out the waiver if you didn't complete it before time. Our guides for the afternoon were Malakai and Josh, and both of them were incredibly knowledgeable and fun during the 2 hours of ziplining! Myself and a couple of others were new to ziplining, but they made us feel very comfortable out on the course. We did the Treetops course, where the longest zipline was 1500m long. I was happy that the longest zipline was in the middle of the pack, giving me a couple of ziplines in the beginning to get comfortable. The views were absolutely gorgeous, with plenty of redwood trees to go around! They also inform you when the photo opportunities are coming up, allowing you to strike your perfect pose at the right moment! I'm so happy I came here to break the ice for ziplining. I felt so comfortable and relaxed by the end of it, and was actually sad once the whole experience was over. But they have the forest course, which gives me a reason to come back for some more ziplining! read more

We did the Tree Tops Tour and had a great time. All of the safety equipment appeared to be in good shape and looked pretty new. We went in mid-August around 3pm, and the weather was perfect. Our guides were Dayshawn and Diego. Dayshawn was the lead guide, and he was thorough and explained all the safety procedures well. When there was ever a lull, he kept things entertaining with jokes, stories, and nature facts. Diego was the sweep guide and he made sure we were all securely fastened to the zip cables, and gave tips (to those who were comfortable) for making the experience even more exciting. Both guides were also entertaining because they would pull little (safe) pranks on each other and us. All around a great experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a thrilling nature activity up in the Santa Rosa area. read more

What a great day. I took my best friend here and she had never been zip lining. She had the time of her life. There were seven lines. The longest one was 3/4 of a mile. It was a lot of fun to hear and see other people zipping through other lines around you too. The group that we were with was great. I think there were either 6 or 7 in our group. I really liked the guy that helped us. He was fun. I wish I could remember his name. We also had Charlotte. She was quiet. Not sure if she didn't want to be there or she's just shy around people but.... I think my only issue was I called ahead of time and asked if there was any climbing or anything like that. The girl said no. My best friend is 68 and just had her knee replaced three months ago. When we got there, we found out we had to walk up like over 100 steep steps. She had to stop a few times, but she did it. But I wish we had been more prepared. They also have tree houses that you can stay in overnight where they bring you breakfast and dinner and then you do zip lining. I didn't check the cost, but that looks cool . 5+ STARS goes to Gita and Micah for making my first Zip lining experience such a great memory. It was so fun. Going into this with my friend, I was a little apprehensive. When choosing which tour to do, I chicken out of the Tree Top Tour and went for the Forest Flight Tour. But now after doing it... bring it on! The whole operation runs very well. Booking your reservations and completing all the paperwork online and most of all, safety. I had booked for a party of 2 on a Thursday at 10:30 AM. It was a perfect day. We arrived 1/2 hour before our scheduled time as per instructed. Check-in was a breeze especially if you do your paperwork online. To note: they do weight you on a scale. A truck then picks you up and takes you to the next level where you meet your guides and get suited up, go through all the safety guides, the OFF YOU GO! I loved Micah calm sense of humor and Gita's energy. Both of them worked well as a team. They made us all feel relaxed and safe while giving us confidence in what we were doing. When were were done, we all repelled to the forest floor and remove all gear. A couple things to take note: you can place all your valuables in a basket for your group only that they keep safe upon your return. You can bring your cell but if you don't have a zipped pocket it's a risk you take... BUT no worries, during your tour, there are a few cameras that catch you as a group and individually zipping and repelling. You can review and purchase the photos in the gift shop for a reasonable price. In our group Gita also took photos of us with her phone and Air-dropped the transfer of photos to each person phone when back on land. LOVED IT! I'm HOOKED! Ready for the Tree Top Tour. read more

This place was absolutely amazing! I was so scared to do the zipline, but the guides were wonderful. Honestly, John and Dalton were great! They were very patient with me, and even though I was scared, it was a lot of fun!! The treehouse experience was more than I expected. The dinner and breakfast meals were delicious. The treehouse was so comfortable. Everything you need, it's there. You just need to bring clothes and toiletries, and maybe a bottle of wine if you want. But they have everything. The showers are super nice, and they provide towels and shampoo and all that. You can sit on the deck and have your meals and enjoy the views. I 100% recommend this place!! read more

400th review alert over here, so I'm celebrating by way of an extra special review: Sonoma Zipline Adventures earns that coveted spot in my book, so here it goes! 5 stars all the way, plus some extra ones for our extraordinary experience in one of the most beautiful settings ever! We celebrated my husband's birthday a few months ago by booking one of their Sonoma Treehouse Adventures which includes both zipline tours (the Tree Tops & Forest Flight Tours), an overnight stay in one of their incredible Treehouses, a guided nature hike, plus meals & snacks (more on that later). We still talk about this like it happened yesterday and can't wait to do it again. There's something so magical about being immersed in a redwood forest and getting to fly above & through it with only the sounds of nature, the zippin' ziplines, and the occasional "Wooooooh!!!" coming ectastically from your fellow zipliners! We've been ziplining a few times before on Maui so we knew it would be fun, but getting to "hang out" high up on redwood trees was even better than we imagined and just awe-inspiring! Our guides were hands-down the best we could've hoped for. Huge thank you to Aidan, Julia & Kirsten! Aidan & Julia were our guides on day 1, and Aidan & Kirsten on day 2. They truly made our days "fly by" (pun intended)! ;) Within our group of 6, we were celebrating 2 anniversaries and 1 birthday, so we also got lucky to have such a festive group for both days! The Treehouse "sleepover" was truly awesome as well! The 6 treehouses are all accessed by a series of suspension bridges (except for 1 which is ADA compliant), and fully outfitted with comfortable furniture and really nice, nature-inspired decor. The lodging itself was beyond what you might think of a treehouse, because they were like beautiful circular condos in the forest, only you're actually situated high up on a huge redwood tree! We chose the Ocean Treehouse, so there were fun ocean-themed touches throughout, which we loved! Back to the meals & snacks: we checked ahead of time if they offer vegan-friendly options for the "gourmet dinner," "welcome charcuterie board," and "hot breakfast" that are part of the Treehouse Stay package. We were assured that yes they do, and sent our requests/food order about a month prior. Unfortunately, we were told there that the kitchen never got our info, and we still had the regular welcome charcuterie board in our treehouse, along with the regular breakfast that had eggs, dairy & sausage patties. They did bring us bowls of fruit to make up for it which was much appreciated, but we didn't get the "gourmet" experience everyone else got. The dinner was a little better since it was vegan, but it was extremely spicy. All the snacks in the treehouse also contained dairy. So overall the meals & snacks were a miss, and had we known, we would have packed more of our own food. They did apologize, but I thought it was still worth sharing our experience in case others who are vegan or have other dietary restrictions/preferences book this experience. Despite the food hiccup, we absolutely LOVED our overall experience here and are looking forward to coming back again in the near future. We stayed in the treehouse for one night. The zip line was amazing. The treehouse is super cute., there is a bathroom in little sink inside which we were stoked about. We were very disappointed with the dinner for the price we paid. We were expecting the food to be exceptional. The way it was delivered was really pretty but the taste was either bland or so salty it was un edible. I think someone accidentally dumped the salt container in the mashed potatoes. They made us sick. But everything else was amazing. I just think for the price the food should be great too. The texture of the food was mushy like baby food. The veggies were overcooked and bland. The steak was good, but needed more seasoning in the chicken was good but on the dry side. The next day they bring you breakfast the eggs actually tasted good. Seems like they were steamed not cooked in a pan, which is fine. The little mini croissants were a rock hard way overcooked but breakfast was better than dinner. Zip lining was amazing. We had an amazing Valentine's Day celebrating on top of the redwood trees. Our guides Dario and Josh were amazing giving us fun, humor and safety all in one. The lines themselves were not super fast or scary based on our prior experiences. The views and ambiance are just flat out amazing. read more
