I've tried several different spas, seen several different massage therapists over the years including a couple high end ones, and I am VERY picky about my therapist, with high standards. Tried my first full bod deep tissue massage with Skyy at his home spa (which was simple and cozy, not suffocating, with nice lighting and aromatherapy). Mindblown by the whole experience. He's very professional with great bedside manner, and if you ask, he'll explain why you have muscle tensions in certain areas. Deep knowledge of skeletal musculature and how it relates to health and the body. Very intuitive. Skyy made sure I felt comfortable and safe at all times, and before we started, of course asked about what areas I wanted to work on. What sold me was the fact that unlike most other massage therapists, you can tell he pours his heart into his work, and to him you're not just one of a dozen clients. Clearly it's not just a job for him- it's his calling. Most massage therapists have their own specialization of course, but they follow pretty much the same routine every time so nothing is really new, and you can tell it's all just habitual. Skyy allows his intuition to lead and (while still ensuring you're comfortable) will switch things up based on what your body needs. Never met anyone so gifted. He's not cheap but he charges what he's worth, because you definitely leave the table feeling like you got way more value than you paid for. A woman stepped in front of the gentleman who was settling the bill and told that I must tip more than I tipped and demanded me to tip at least 20%. I asked the woman who didn't identify herself to me "Are telling me the paying customer how much I have to tip?" She said "yes". So beware of this business practice that will I'm sure close the business down. I am a repeat customer of dozens of visits. I am an African American who is respectful and peaceful. I felt taken advantage of by the woman who demanded a higher tip because I was drained from a 30 minute massage and too relaxed to challenge her. When I arrived home I still didn't get over what I experienced. I am now going with another Spa from here on.

Booking my appointment was super easy and the owner was very helpful and offered treatments for my neck pain. The spa is clean, warm, inviting, and pretty! I could barely tell I was in a strip mall. When I came in I was greeted nicely and given water and a heat wrap for my painful neck. The masseuse was very personable and welcoming. I was looking for commercial location but it ended up being in a residential home. There is only street parking available. I didn't know which doorbell to ring so I rung both until someone opened. The area was clean and well put together. There was only one masseuse so I had to wait until she finished. Communication is really bad. As I was arriving to the location for my scheduled massage, I got a message saying she wouldn't be able to take me until an hour later. I was already at the location so I didn't have much of a choice but to wait. The massage itself was very pleasant! One thing I didn't like is that it kept getting interrupted. She had a young daughter maybe about 2-3 that kept walking in so it wasn't very relaxing. She didn't have a babysitter which I understand it can tough but I wish she would've disclosed that and allowed me to change my appointment to another time. I feel like this would've been a 5 star experience without the interruptions and long wait times, hopefully it was a one time thing!

We had some trouble finding a date that would work, and when I asked if they had any future Saturdays available, I was sent an appointment confirmation for a future Saturday. I was a bit surprised when I was sent an appointment confirmation before I had confirmed the date, but part of this could have been a misunderstanding. However, that specific Saturday did not work for me, so I was fortunately able to reschedule. Also, groupons are required to pay an additional reservation fee. I also screwed up where the massage was actually located. Even though they sent a detailed Facebook message about where the service center was located, the groupon and apple maps linked to their office. I accidentally went to their office instead of the service center. I began freaking out because we were going to be late. We ended showing up 15 minutes late to the service center. I was calling frantically to explain our situation. My boyfriend and I were super stressed, but as soon as we walked in, everyone was calm and understanding. Mel did an amazing job. Instead of massaging my boyfriend and I at the same time, we went one at a time. One of us would sit on the couch and watch while the other was massaged. It was a really cool experience because we could see what Mel was doing, and I was able to take mental notes. Mel ended up going over the time we booked for, and I am very grateful for that. We had a great time chatting with Mel while she massaged us. My boyfriend and I went in extremely tense and stressed, and we left feeling relaxed and calm.
