I heard from a couple of different people including one of the other reviewers on here that this was a baby store that had a Cuban flavour to it, and I thought that sounded pretty cool, so since we didn't have much to do, and my baby has nieces and nephews to think about, we stopped in here and had a look. It does indeed have a Cuban flavour! Some of the items aren't too cheap - a couple of the employees didn't seem to like us being in there considering the way we were dressed and how oily I was - but generally speaking I would say this is a pretty cool and different little baby store and I appreciate it.

The employees recommended the BabyArc car seat that was on display. I loved the colors and even did a quick search for its safety ratings, which looked great, so I purchased it based on their recommendation and assurance that it rotated. Fast forward to now, when it's finally time to install the seat, I carefully read the manual and discovered that the car seat does NOT rotate as I was promised. I immediately called the store to explain the situation, but instead of trying to make things right, I was told that because I received a discount, the sale was final and no refunds or exchanges would be allowed. I understand stores have policies, but this was not a case of buyer's remorse, it was a purchase made based on incorrect information provided by their staff. Parents rely on baby stores for accurate guidance when purchasing important safety items for their children. Unfortunately, I feel misled and unsupported.

I purchased a crib from Liapela and used their delivery and assembly service. They must have made…read moresome changes in the last year because my experience was extremely different from the prior posts. The salesperson was very friendly and helpful. This is my first, so she took the time to show me the different cribs they have as well as crib mattresses. I had done my research on the Oeuf cribs, so it probably helped that I had a very good idea of what I wanted, but she really was very helpful and gave us space while my husband and I discussed what we wanted to do. The delivery and assembly service is Tues/Thurs, so I scheduled it at the time of purchase. The guy who delivered and assembled the crib was very nice and courteous. He even called about 20 minutes before arriving and arrived at the time he said he would - very rare in Miami. He did a great job with assembly and explained how to change the different levels on the crib. They also carry the bassinet that I want, so I went back about a week later and ordered the bassinet. The salesperson who helped with the crib was there, remembered me. Again, she was very friendly and helpful. For both the crib and the bassinet, there is no huge mark up, which is what I was expecting at Merrick Park, so that was a huge plus. Yes, you have to pay for the delivery and assembly service, but it beats paying about the same for shipping by ordering online, tracking the package to make sure you're home for delivery, and then figuring out the instructions and hoping you put the crib together correctly. One other big plus for me - everything in the store is very high quality and earth friendly. Overall, I am very happy with Liapela and will probably go back when there are other things I need for my baby, even if I can get them online.

He just stood there watching us struggle to operate the strollers and almost pushed us aside to put it back because he was afraid we would break it. Not to mention his comment about how indecisive we were because we kept looking at the different ones. It was the most uncomfortable shopping experience I've ever had. I became a yelper because I feel compelled to share my experience. Good luck with your business if you treat your customers like some type of disease. Go to genius jones instead.
