Do yourself a favor and make sure that you don't show up to the store at 10 am ( opening time)... Owner will be visibly annoyed once she arrives after 10 and sees you waiting there, its safe to say that you wont be receiving a cordial greeting either! I was there for a communion dress and left empty handed, not because there wasn't a couple dress I thought would work, but because I refused to give my money to someone with such lack of manners. I have been a longstanding customer albeit no longer as frequent because my children have grown up. Throughout the years I have found that they have had a consistently exquisite selection. However. I was extremely disappointed today when after purchasing two dresses which were on sale for two separate gifts I was informed that they could not prepare them as a gift simply because they were on sale. I was sincerely taken aback from a customer service standpoint that a boutique of this caliber would have that poor policy in place. I was more taken aback at the policy, as they say "penny wise pound foolish" , for the negative impact a simple tissue and ribbon one finds at the dollar store could have on a customer purchase experience. I would recommend they revisit this policy as the current landscape might result in fewer customers and the savings in tissue paper and or a paper ribbon might not warrant a dissatisfied or lost customer. Apparently pregnancy brain just morphs into mommy brain after giving birth, because my youngest is getting baptized in three days and I just realized that 1. he doesn't have any socks to wear, and 2. his older brother probably shouldn't wear his regular attire of superhero adorned outfits and onesies with 90's hip hop lyrics (oops) to church, lol. I called Mother Goose and Annie, the owner, was able to answer all of my questions and had everything I needed in stock, for an affordable price. Not a big selection on first communion dresses, but what they have is beautiful and prices vary between $275.00 - $600.00, so there's something for every budget. Service is excellent! They are nice, open and honest; answer patiently to all questions and requests. After visiting other places, we ended up buying the dress and shoes at Mother Goose; we're extremely happy with our purchase and the service we received. read more
