This shop has sugar and spice...with a dash of pink written all over it. Boys are not forgotten…read moretoo, as there are strong blue hues present in the shop too. Carrying the finest and high quality children's and baby's clothing, furniture, toys and gifts, this is a perfect place to start if you're thinking of giving your child a personalised themed bedroom. A room mirroring his personality and identity. If budget permits, you'll have plenty of deco theme options to choose from, to pair to your child's bedroom. From wall stickers which allows creativity and wallplay, my favourite picks would have to be the racing car tracks, princess and the adorable chalkboard which promises hours of fun for the kids. I went hunting for bean bags and came across some pretty ones. Unfortunately they had the name 'couture' on it and came with a price tag of $99. As gorgeous as it was, I doubt I'll be spending that much on a mere bean bag. Expect to pay a bit more here as you are paying for good quality products. Not your average 'Made in China' store, Kidzone appeals to all. My all time favourite would have to be Djeco, a French educational brand. Djeco carries beautiful range of stickers, magnetic puzzles, collages and more..they are a favourite amongst my kids and absolutely affordable. Kidzone truly meets the needs of children and covers playtime, educational, fashion, bedding, personalised products and party essentials.

There is plenty options for every decorating concept you can imagine and they cater for everything - furniture, decor, wall decals, unique clothes and quality toys. I picked up a quality raw single bed with a bookcase head for a little under $250. A lick of paint and it looked great! If you're less price conscious, they have beautiful white two-pac beds. It is a large space that is packed to the brim, so if you're looking for something specific, it's worth asking for help.

Now this is my kind of shop. Love a bit of Country Road suiting for work. Love their casual wear…read moreand most of all I love their shoes. The Country Road store on Unley Road at the Metro Shopping Centre is possibly the best CR store in Adelaide. I would have to say that it's certainly the biggest. They have equally large spaces dedicated to women's wear (actually that area is the biggest) as well as their men's and kid's ranges. Homewares aren't forgotten at the Metro store either and they have the biggest selection of bowls, bedding and bits and bobs I've seen in any Country Road shop. What I like about this particular outlet is they seem to have a magic storage area where they pull additional sizes from. The staff here are first class and will go out of their way to help you. Only one criticism, I was shopping for one of their handbags recently and had seen it on special at a David Jones Country Road outlet in the city. When I asked if they could price match (as they had always done in the past) I was told they no longer did this. I really hope this was a one time situation and they've come to their senses otherwise they run the risk of losing sales as most people will always go for the cheaper option. Come on Country Road you've always looked after me in the past - don't stop now.

The store is nicely presented and spacious, no clothes rack claustrophobia in here. The range is excellent and the store manages to keep all the sizes in stock which I've always been thankful for! I've found the staff a bit hit and miss, I've been here and be greeted and looked after wonderfully before but lately staff seem to quietly leave the customers be, which I've found a bit odd when said customer has a few hangers in her hand and is walking around looking at more of the range. Their accessories are excellent and I love the shoes here, just hang out for a sale as the prices are a little bit much for my liking.

Zara, oh how I have missed you!! Having been blessed to have travelled a fair bit I have shopped…read moreat Zara chains in Europe and also interesting out of the way places such as Manilla, One thing I could always count on is that I could find any basic item or something more interesting at a good price in almost any country. It is interesting to note that many Adelaideans have been disappointed but that's because their expectations were probably along the lines of a new high end fashion store, which it isn't. They stock the most amazing range of shoes but compared to the clothing they are a litttle more pricey. The clothes that I have bought years ago are still going strong and the quality is definitely there for the price. The day I swept in to the new store with my daughter in tow I was really delighted with the store: spacious and well laid out, however I did't go on a busy day. My daughter bought a beautiful camel tailored jacket for $80 which was fully lined and well stitched. Most clothing in this price range elsewhere is pretty cheaply made. The only reason I didn't give Zara five stars was the staff. Unbelievable, that with all the launch and fanfare that they didn't get this right. First of all it was hard to get hold of a staff member even on a quiet day and the staff manning the changerooms were very disinterested and didn't show any desire to help out. In the end I did find someone on the check out that showed some initiative and desire to help. Another tip; Beware of the sizing, don't be dismayed if you have to try clothes that are one or two sizes bigger than normal as they are cut for the Asian market. My daughter, who is usually a small or extra small needed a medium. Although, again I think they should have corrected this as women generally don't like buying clothes that make them feel like they have put on weight. So, typically wonderful Zara but woeful service and strange sizing.

Now I did hear all the hype, live radio broadcasts and Internet raves of Zara and thought - oh man,…read moreanother snobby store I will love in the window of and wish of buying. But since I visited Burnside shopping centre today, one of about four times ever, I was quite surprised how nice the store is, how friendly the staff were and the quality and price of the clothing. I said to my partner, let's just look quickly for a laugh so we know what everyone is talking about. But when I met up with him in the men's section, I said - there are actually a few things here I wouldn't mind, and can afford! And he said the same. There were no lines, great considering it was 4pm on a Sunday, and the staff and other shoppers were fine. I wasn't bothered too much by fake assistants, I happily browsed and walked around with a surprised, but happy, look on my face. Meanwhile the swarms of security watched over my shoulder it felt like. But I will be returning, and so will my partner, and we probably will buy a thing or two. Not just because it has Zara written on it, but because we actually liked the product and found the experience in store pleasurable.
