There's always something a little different and while many of the toys are on the pricier end, there are some great gifts for under $10 that kids around the 5-year-old mark absolutely love. The one disappointment for me was they never seem to have any sales. Maybe that was their point of different, but I try and stock up at toy sales for the dozens of birthday parties we go to each year. Recently, they have started offering Lego at 15-20% off. I prefer Toyworld to other toy retailers, and I'm sure a lot of that is to do with childhood memories. I also feel their range is better though. This store is pretty big, and easy to figure out. You have toys for boys, then toys for girls, toys for babies, and sporting toys. Easy. The staff are pretty good, which I think you have to be to work in a toy store (when I last went in the place was being overrun with screaming children and the assistant kept a smile on her face the whole time.

It was packed in its original box and then in another box but it didn't stay that way for long. The way the store is set out is with kitchen / dining room items in the back and living room pieces in the front. They stock larger items of furniture like buffets and bookshelves and of course the smaller pieces like occasional pieces and footstools. Sometimes things can be a little pricey but there are also times you'll find a great bargain. The black and white ottoman in the centre of my living room is just one of those pieces. It goes without saying there's a great selection of decorating pieces right through the store. Even if you're not buying, I find this place full of ideas - a little like a home decorating magazine come to life. I always manage to find a bargain there when it comes to things like their Maxwell and Williams dinner set range. A good bargain always makes me smile. I love buying something that looks exy but I've actually paid very little for House and Garden staff are always helpful. If you're looking for something and they don't have it, they will always call one of their other stores and attempt to get it in for you. When they're not run off their feet with a line of customers at the counter or gift wrapping someone's purchase, they're always up for a chat and a laugh.

If they don't know something, they'll find out for you. Look out for posters around the walls that link you to games groups and recommend games review websites if you're looking for more infromation. The shop stocks a good range of games, and I always find what I'm looking for. They are also quite well-priced, and I often find games cheaper here than I do in other games shops, which is a surprise, given the quality of the shop.
