But then I asked if the chef could please box up my roll and my raw Toro Sashimi. when l left, I saw that my raw tuna and my cooked roll was in the same container, which is completely against health and safety guidelines. Come on people it's one small little box. You could ve separated the two- you should do better especially when my bill for one person is $70. read more

I've gone in twice now on two different occassions and ended up just walking out. They don't greet customers at the door instead they leave you waiting for 10 minutes just to tell you you're 2nd in line for a party not even present. horrible customer service won't ever even try to get food again. read more

We always love coming here when in town, we are glad to be in this very lovely family owned restaurant, the vibe here is always positive and inviting! Even though the space is not too big at all, they did an excellent job in making sure dinners and take out customers have lots of space and well organized, tables and chairs are all sanitized after each service, and the owner made sure everyone and I mean everyone that comes through the door has to sanitize their hands! Food is always top notch and especially I love their grilled meats, be it chicken, pork or beef short ribs all grilled to perfection with a very enticing charred flavour! The Westbank equivalent of the great Chinese restaurants in Vancouver Chinatown in the 60s! This Vietnamese place (not a chain franchise) is well worth the visit. Food is v good and service excellent, and reasonable prices. My only issue is that since it is so popular, it's also jammed with people, so it is pretty loud, which is an issue for some of us with hearing problems! Given that, we will be back! read more

This place offers great Vietnamese food at a very affordable price. According to the restaurant, they are rated the number one place for Vietnamese food in the area. Since they are situated downtown next to the Kelowna library, free-parking is a bit hard to find on the weekdays. On the weekends, the garage is free. After ordering a bowl of pho and vermicelli noodles, the food came out after a reasonable 10 minutes. They portions were huge. The only reason I give this place 4 stars is because I found the vermicelli to be a bit bland and under-seasoned. read more

for a pho place way out in kelowna...i must say...amazing!! from the service, ambiance, covid protocols to the food! you will love it! after a long drive, felt hungry and craving pho. saw this place from the corner of my eye while driving and we decided lets go!! the broth was very very good. comparable to pho places in vancouver. almost no msg, as you don't feel thirsty like a camel afterwards. beef was succulent and tender...noodles were cooked just right. the lemongrass chicken is a bit different from what im used to but its flavours were unique. think of it as a vietnamese chicken teriyaki. lol hit this place up on the way to enjoying the okanagan lake and you wont be disappointed. cheers! happy eating! read more

I was craving Asian food in Kelowna so I visited this restaurant. The plating and presentation of the food were nice, yet the taste was adequate. However, the fried spring roll was interesting since it was fried as if it was a tempura. It was very crispy and tasty. Moreover, the lemongrass chicken had very small portions of chicken and was mostly greens, which was unexpected. Lastly, the rare beef pho's meat seemed very old so it was quite disappointing. Overall, the service was ok, and the food was slightly disappointing. However, I think this is the best Asian food option available in Kelowna, thus if you lower your Vancouverite Asian food expectations, then this place would be good. read more

Today was a cool rainy day so perfect for soup! I had the rare beef phô and hubby and kid shared a spring roll and wor wonton soup. We've eaten here before and so far the food is still consistently good and the service was great. The manager was very nice and charming - joked around and made sure all the customers were taken care of. The inside was very clean and it was busy with thr lunch crowd. Choice of eating inside or out. Big clean bathrooms and accommodating for those with mobility issues and strollers. So, to the food - I really enjoyed my phô - rich broth, super thin slices of beef, came with chopped thai basil and bean sprouts. I would have preferred whole sprigs of basil. Hubby said his was delicious and kiddo liked it too. Theirs was wor wonton so no noodles but luckily I had lots to share! Hubby forgot wor is without noodles and the kiddo loves noodles! Tried this on a lark while on vacation, and was quite satisfied. The location is nothing to write home about, since it's a small place tucked in a big suburban mini mall, although it is nice inside. Still, the food was very good, the cocktails well done, and the service was prompt. They were also doing all of the vaccine passport things to a tee. Vermicelli bowl was satisfying and fresh, the flavor was good but there was nothing dramatic or intriguing about the flavors - no wow factor. There was no sauce to bring the whole dish together so it was a compartmentalized meal. The green tea ice cream was overpowered by the chocolate sauce. It's hard to ever be negative about chocolate, but in this case the subtle flavor of green tea ice cream was lost amongst all the chocolate. Ambience was OK, better than average, but nothing special. The pics that people posted made our decision to eat here. First strike was my sister got a pot of lukewarm tea, when we mentioned it the server took it and then returned with another lukewarm tea. I don't fault her since we found out she just started. Another server brought over our soup and we told her we were sharing it and she kind of gave us a surprised look when we asked for bowls to share. There was three of us and she brought 2 so we had to ask for another one. Obviously the other servers were just letting our server who was very nice and apologetic but I have to fault the ones that were suppose to train their staff. How could there not be something as simple as boiling water for tea. I don't think they would like to go to a coffee shop and expect a Lukewarm cup of joe. Of course, being the Viet pho/iced coffee connossieur, I had to give one a try, esp. driving by on the way to Best Western hotel, just 2 big blocks walking distance. One of the nicest Viet places I've been to, wished I did eat here for a quick bite, if it wasn't for the continental breakfast back @ hotel. Sat at the bar counter and waited for the iced coffee to drip, which is a good sign. Enjoyed watching the dishes come out of the kitchen, pretty efficient operation so know the customer service is there. Food looked tasty, good portions. Decor is more fusion, lots of white. was a bit hesitant at looking at the menu without any Viet subtitles but can attest the authenticity of the kitchen staff, which also looked pretty immaculate. Looks like a new development overall anyways. Will return, soon. read more

The pho itself was pretty good. The beef was okay, however the service was atrocious. When we sat down, we had to wait and ask for the menu. We also asked to have two cups of water. When we got our food we asked for water again. Nothing came. When we were well into our meal, our water still did not arrive. When we were almost done our meal, we once again asked for water. Popped in here for dinner and was greeted by very friendly staff and showed to my seat. Ordered my usual favourite prawn salad rolls and they were brought out super fast and were fresh, crisp and tasty with a really nice peanut sauce. Ordered seafood Phò which just might have had the best broth I've ever had. The portions are HUGE in the usual Vietnamese fashion and I was unable to finish 1/2 my salad roll and about the the same on my Phò. Tonight my family and I went to Bamboo Chopsticks for dinner. I was so impressed that they had a really good variety of kids meals. My boys were so happy with their chicken soups, and they can be picky. The lemongrass soup was amazing, with clean flavors and a zesty taste that made the cold winter winds go away. I had the wonton soup, the flavors were so well balanced, that I'm still thinking about when we can go eat there again. Overall, it's a great choice for Vietnamese flavors that make a chilly night more manageable. Loved this eating experience. read more

A simple, but immaculate little restaurant with great service. Food is prepared quickly enough for lunch, and is still good enough for a casual date. The stir-frys are very nice, but the reason to go here (especially for lunch) is the phó - Vietnamese soup. For those not accustom to phó, it is not spicy (unless you want it to be by adding a hot sauce), but a very delicious, delicate broth with meat, noodles and bean sprouts. It can also be sweetened/flavoured with the addition of hoisin sauce. The phó here is excellent (best I've had so far) and comes in several types, including a slightly peppery curry chicken. If you get the phó, I recommend ordering a small -it's very filling. For larger appetites, as an alternative to getting large, there's a deal for an appy, soup and drink. Pop is bottomless. The restaurant is licenced, but outside the ethnic options, choices are few. Of note, however, is the Vietnamese beer, broadly in the German-Pilsner style, it is dryish and refreshing. The service was fast and friendly, however the food was alright. I suppose it's hard to compare it to East Vancouver. The meat slices were thick, and though cooked through (for rare beef), was still the highlight of the pho. However, the soup was very salty, or filled with MSG, cuz I was drinking through my water and tea like nobody's business. The beansprouts and lime were obviously left out and dry too. But with few other options in the Westside, it'll have to do for now. We came to this place because the restaurant next door was closed. We were pleasantly surprised by the staff, all of them were engaging, attentive, and friendly.
