Charged 200 dollars to keep my sister's computer for three days, delete all her passwords for some reason, and not fix the problem.

This review was originally written by Bamjac computers while MJ had my computer in his shop to repair. I was never informed of the review or asked to write one. He did give himself a 5 star review and set up this account. Pretty sure this is illegal as of FCC rules added in Jan of 2024. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Brought my pc in he worked on it for a total of 4 hours in two weeks time told me he fixed the problem when i got home i come to find out he did not fix it by ANY means all he did was rebuild my pc and while doing so broke the latch to release my gpu from the motherboard so i am now stuck with my gpu inside of my motherboard i en up finding the problem myself and fixing my pc not the goi because that is permanently stuck now but i fixed my fans myself DO NOT GO HERE he is known to be very lazy have terrible customer service and will not handle what you bring in with care read more

Charged $200 to fix the hinges on our MacBook Air. Hinges are still loose. Scratched the cover. Broke the plastic hinge covering.

brought my pc in with a ram slot a problem and the aio not working almost a week later he calls me tells me he fixed the aio but he can't fix the ram i say ok pick my pc up the next day (today) well he lied the aio still isn't working nothing changed he took my computer apart put it back together in a sloppy not near manner and told me he did what he could and then still charged me the full 250$ for nothing to b changed i went back and got 160$ back because i was not paying him the full 250$ end of the story is do not trust this man with your computer if you have a nice up to date pc i assumed he would have insight on the situation but i'm convinced i know more then he does from learning at home do not go unless you want to pay 250$ for a simple fix of something read more

For whatever reason, I needed the OS reinstalled on my laptop and Bamjac did a fine job. But, they set themselves up as the home page when I launch a browser and installed Avast for my security provider. When I moved and my internet provider included McAfee, I tried to uninstall Avast. When I contacted Bamjac by email about the problem, I was ignored. I still have 14 files on my machine that require their tools apparently. At least they haven't caused a problem yet. They would have more likely gotten positive word of mouth if they hadn't stuck their commercial in my face during restarts. read more

Took my laptop to Bamjac because we like to support our local businesses. IT took 3 weeks to get a simple fan replaced on my laptop. Was promised repair done in a week, but was given many excuses. In the end it cost a lot of money, took a lot of time and if we had not been on them about the repair it may still be in their shop. Very disappointed in their service. read more

If I could give them NO STARS I would. Do not take your computer here. I wanted a simple data transfer, the next day after picking up my computer Internet Explorer no longer would load and a few days later I experienced the Blue Screen of Death. Due to a death in the family and traveling it took me two weeks to contact the shop. When I did call, the lack of professionalism and customer service was incredulous. I ended up calling Dell, getting my problem fixed and learned... get this... they had experienced the Blue Screen of Death three times while they were working on my pc, while it was in the shop!!! There is a website that tells you the date, the time and code of the blue screen occurrences. When I called back to speak to the owner, he asked me why I was pointing fingers, and said he never heard of such a website. Unbelievable!!! read more

I called about 11:00 am. MJ came same day; he knew I was in a pickle (I work from home). My work technology firm could not fix, but HE DID!! He called when he was on his way )came to home to fix network and internet issues, worked quickly and efficiently, and even let me watch because I think computers are fun. "Where your computer leaves fast," the Bamjac motto is simply not true. My computer was in their shop for 48 days and was still unfixed when I had finally had enough and brought it home. Their customer interactions skills were pathetic; I was confident that I had diagnosed the problem correctly and I printed out the manual showing exactly where the issue had occurred--they didn't even take it into consideration. Two weeks later the finally told me that my evaluation was indeed correct, but they hadn't ordered the part. At least two more weeks went by before I called again and nothing had happened--they hadn't even called me to give me an update. With a couple of hours on the computer, a handful of emails and several calls I was able to locate the part and order it. I took the part in to Bamjac, since they were so inept at finding anything on the internet. They told me that they probably wouldn't get around to it that day--that they had other things to do. If they had other customers whose computers were there longer than mine and therefore more important I am truly sorry, but it seemed reasonable to me that they should take the time to get my computer up and running, especially since it was a pretty straightforward part replacement. I took my computer home and fixed the problem in two hours, this review is written on that very same computer. If you are thinking about going to Bamjac for work save yourself the trouble and do business elsewhere. read more
