I think it's gotten a bad wrap by Gen Y in particular. You can always rely on The Paddo, the drinks reasonably priced, the music is decent, there is always a free pool table, the restaurant serves above average pub food and it's in a great location. The smoking area is massive and equipped with screens to satisfy those watching a game, plus there is a gaming area out the back and decent parking lot. The service staff are always friendly and willing to help out, they do everything with a smile which is more than you get at a lot if restaurants in Paddington. The decor is pub meets theatre meets adult contemporary, strange combination, but it works with the cow boy hats the service staff wear.. All in all, a pretty cool pub.

The lockers were plenty big enough for my backpack and it's always nice to have your own sockets at your bed. The women's bathroom was pretty clean, but the ventilation system wasn't the best so it would get really hot in there. Kitchen was nice and the rooftop was also good! It is a little bit of a walk to get to any of the main things to do, so be prepared for that! Staff was very helpful to me when I needed to find a tailor, a request they're probably not used to.
