Had a wonderful experience with friends (all of us new to horseback riding) on a guided private…read moretrail ride with the owner Lorrie and an aide - they were incredibly helpful and patient with instructions, and were keenly focused on keeping both the animals and humans safe and happy. We also booked our group of young children (ages 5 and 8) for (staff led) pony rides which they loved (rides for both the adults and children went through some beautiful fields and forests on the ranch/farm property). It was such a great experience I even signed up the kids for a Farm Scout day camp a few days later, given they luckily had some openings. Highly recommend! Especially if you are in the Peterborough or Belleville areas (about a 45 min drive from each)

Great hike! We did the loop starting behind the Dorset Heritage Museum. It was a bit steep at some…read moresections but very manageable. There were lots of spots to sit and even have a picnic. There's a small shop at the top of the hill under the tower that has various souvenirs and shirts. We did this on a Sunday in late August and there were a handful of people there also.
