Using this firm was one of the WORST mistakes I made in my divorce. When I first talked to Attorney Banks, he stated that I would receive a response within 2 business days. During my 9 month time with this firm, this was a rarity. The normal response time was at least a week and sometimes even longer. My attorney was 90 minutes late for our first two appointments and the second one I did not receive any communication that he was going to be late. Because of the delayed response time and being tardy for my appointments, Attorney Banks talked to me and assured that this would not happen again and I would receive much quicker responses. We also talked about me receiving a credit of $150 because of this experience. The next day I reached out to my attorney asking for a simple response and didn't get a response within two days so I texted the main number and Attorney Banks. He called me back that day with an attitude and accused me of being passive aggressive. Unfortunately, the responses continued to be extremely delayed. According to my ex-wife's attorney, they never received any of my recent financial statements that I had provided to the firm months ago. I finally decided to share all of these documents and updated spreadsheet to my ex-wife. Less than a week later, my lawyer stated that they agreed to this offer with 3 minor changes. I emailed my lawyer stating that I was fine with these changes. Learned over a week later that he never got back to my ex-wife's lawyer so I made the changes myself and emailed it to both lawyers. My ex-wife lawyer stated that he could not do anything based on emails from me since I still had representation. Because of this, I fired my lawyer at this firm and finalized the details on my own. No communication between Attorney and client my personal experience. Paid 500.00 and no communication unbelievable I would not recommend this law firm. Every time something came up on my end I always contacted my attorney by email, voicemails, text messages updating him with anything and everything. The funny thing is they reached out to me... An attorney at this law group was paid for services they did not complete. Do not expect a return call or email because that does not happen. I literally provided all of the documents the attorney needed and he never filed anything (which is what he was paid to do). My access and review is also expired. I never would have known if I didn't go check at the courthouse. They could care less. I filed a complaint and at the very least I want a refund because I still have to do what the attorney never completed. Disguating....really, they could be a scam for all I know. If I could rate this law firm a 0 I would. That's how poorly of an experience I had with The Banks Law Group. Initially, my mother had called in and spoke to attorney Banks directly about my situation and assured my mother he would take good care of my custody and divorce case. We were both under the impression that we had hired attorney Banks for my case, however, after we paid the retainer, I started being contacted by attorney Daniel Rabenold. He told me he works hand and hand with attorney Banks. As the case progressed, I found myself in more of a mess. Not only did attorney Rabenold not respond timely to my concerns or emails, the own law firm accidentally sent me out a text saying I was in contempt of court for a hearing. When I tried to contact attorney Rabenold, i couldn't get ahold of anyone to know what was going on. It took an hour later until attorney Rabenold got back to me and said one of his staff misread the court order, and I was not in contempt of court. Can you imagine spending thousands of dollars for the law firm that not only represented you poorly, but couldn't even read orders correctly. I only met attorney Rabenold one time, and it was for a hearing back in October, which he showed up very unprepared and the hearing was cancelled. He literally followed the opposing party's attorney like a lost dog. He had no backbone to fight for my case whatsoever. Also, every time I called in the phone line would keep ringing, and then the line would hang up. Almost as if my phone calls were being purposely ignored. When I would ask attorney Rabenold questions as far as proceeds from my soon to be ex husband and I's home, attorney Rabenold would say he didn't to touch base with the other attorney. Almost as if he wasn't educated enough to be an attorney. I highly don't recommend anyone going through this law firm. They will just drain you financially. I had a cs case that I had to close due to DV they never went to court for me at all only did paperwork and charged me $2800 basically taking the entire flat fee amount that I paid because I had to cancel the case for the safety of myself and children charged me $2800 just for correspondence no court appearance no documents received back nothing just admin work and phone calls $2800 I'm highly disappointed and upset also my original lawyer retired without my knowledge and i had no communication with anyone without pulling teeth and I was charged $2800 just to file paperwork and make 1 phone call to the defendant and one phone call to myself that lasted 5 min or less Total rip off im so disappointed because I really thought they were legit read more

They say one thing and then do another. They gave 50/50 custody to someone not ready for it . What was agreed too wasn't what I agreed too. Then said I did. They constantly change lawyers after they get familiar with your case then send in the worst of them all . Mathew Banks. I should have realized the warning from the judge when he kept asking me where my old lawyer was . Matt gave up way too much , then I went back to the judge after I had to find out what the new order as bc they never sent me My copy. Apparently they don't like to send clients their copies of the court orders. When I found out Matt gave up 50/50 and not what I agreed too. I went to the judge told him what happened. And he set a date for us to be there. Well the banks law crooks sent someone else and not the original crook. So since Matt wasn't there I couldn't prove what I agreed too. And the order stayed . So just to recap at that point just with the banks law crooks I was on lawyer number 2 . Then I get a call after that lawyer got familiar with the case I was getting another new lawyer and he was " better" So now just with banks law crooks I'm on lawyer #3. And bc Connor Line wasn't familiar with the case when we were back in court I lost More custody. Then I get a phone call 3 months later from some woman in the banks law crooks office telling me that the owner is taking my case over . And he is the Smuck that gave up 50/50 in the first place . So if you want to waste your money and loose your kids. Use these scumbags. They need to be dis bared and never allowed to practice law ever! I have to agree with this review and if I could, I would rate this firm less than one, giving them a one star gracious. This company tells you what you want to hear to obtain your business and then sends attorney's that do not pay attention to what you are asking. When they fail, the owner will step in. However, he doesn't fight for what you ask for. He will argue with you until you agree with what he thinks, no matter what has happened throughout the case or what happens to a child during that time. He will not prepare to fight for his clients which makes you have to agree to his terms in the end because his firm is not ready to fight for you in court. Throughout my case, I had 3 different lawyers before the owner took over. The lawyers do not listen to what you say, they take back wrong information to the judge that makes you look like you are being difficult, they do not get back to you when you are having an issue. The bottom line is, if are ready to just settle out of court, this company is good for that. It won't cost you much to just settle out of court and they don't have to do anything but paperwork. However, if you have a case that needs attention to detail and someone to fight for you, spend the money on a lawyer that will actually fight for your needs. Do not settle with this firm because of money if you can prevent it. While their prices may be fair, you get what you pay for. When he responds to this review, which I expect no less of them to defend the company, I want to say that I had a second opinion on my case (unfortunately too late in my case to switch) who stated after reviewing all the documents I brought and emails between us, that what the opposing party was requesting was ridiculous and the way it was being written, they could tell I would be right back to court. They also stated that what I was told in the beginning was not true and the proof I showed them of what happened throughout my case, my lawyer should not have handled things the way he did. I only wish I had a second opinion sooner, I would have switched my attorney before it was too late for me. In the future I will need to modify my case, but I will not be using this law firm. I do believe the feeling is mutual because I did not keep my mouth shut and they do not like that. With that being said, I suggest only that you are very careful in your attorney choosing. If you choose to use this firm and during your case you feel like they are not fighting for you like you believe they should be, do not hesitate to obtain a second opinion right away. If a good lawyer doesn't have the time to properly prepare for your case, they won't take it. and you do not want to be left high and dry in the end. read more
