We set up an appointment to get together and discuss our situation. David answered all of my questions and did not sugar coat anything. David was was also easy to work with. He let me know what I needed in order to file and helped us along the way. I even had a lag of time in between months where we had to wait to get an appraisal on our home done due to finances and he did not forget about us. We filed in December and had our trustee appointment in February and the case was signed off on in the same day. Most likely due to the fact that David had everything filled out as it should be and no T was left uncrossed or I was left un-dotted. I felt the interactions were almost cold and unfeeling due to being overly task focused and professional. While he effectively completed the process in a timely manner, I personally felt a bit uncomfortable at the seeming lack of compassion demonstrated. The task driven professionalism made an already sensitive time a bit heavier to carry. Opposing counsel informed him from the start they wanted us gone. The close relationship he has with opposing counsel took priority over representing us. (he mentioned it many, many times) I was accused, by them of seeing injuries on my gdaughter and ignoring them. The fact of the matter is I was banned from seeing her because I had called the police to check on her. He did nothing to stop them from repeatedly making this false, slanderous lie. (numerous times to the judge ) They falsified reports which he easily could have disputed by simply requesting records but he refused to do so. An evaluation I had by a doctor contained OVER 3 1/2 DOZEN errors, all of which I can prove. (Eval even said I was violent/suicidal when i have NO history of either) He did absolutely nothing. He filed incorrect motions. He did nothing each time the other side was caught lying. The other side said I was rude to our gdaughter's adoptive parents. And I was. I literally feared saying anything to them, knowing opposing counsel wanted us gone and had stooped to slinging lies and false accusations against us.

During my 9 month time with this firm, this was a rarity. The normal response time was at least a week and sometimes even longer. My attorney was 90 minutes late for our first two appointments and the second one I did not receive any communication that he was going to be late. Because of the delayed response time and being tardy for my appointments, Attorney Banks talked to me and assured that this would not happen again and I would receive much quicker responses. We also talked about me receiving a credit of $150 because of this experience. The next day I reached out to my attorney asking for a simple response and didn't get a response within two days so I texted the main number and Attorney Banks. He called me back that day with an attitude and accused me of being passive aggressive. Unfortunately, the responses continued to be extremely delayed. According to my ex-wife's attorney, they never received any of my recent financial statements that I had provided to the firm months ago. I finally decided to share all of these documents and updated spreadsheet to my ex-wife. Less than a week later, my lawyer stated that they agreed to this offer with 3 minor changes. I emailed my lawyer stating that I was fine with these changes. Learned over a week later that he never got back to my ex-wife's lawyer so I made the changes myself and emailed it to both lawyers. My ex-wife lawyer stated that he could not do anything based on emails from me since I still had representation. Because of this, I fired my lawyer at this firm and finalized the details on my own. I never received my $150 credit and took almost two months to get my remaining retainer returned to me. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM!

Constantly emailed me everyday about the 500.00 retainer I paid it within 2 weeks like I promised. This is what you get without researching a law firm first. Hope I get my 500.00 back..
