Despite the slight language barrier, their work is meticulous and as expected. I appreciate that they got the tree down w/o hitting the house. There were just too many issues. I removed the fence, minus the posts, due to being concreted in. They bent two posts and completely knocked one out. Damaged a fence cap next to the house. I asked them to leave 8' of the tree. I am a woodworker and the tree was in the perfect spot to carve the remaining trunk. Nope! I went in for lunch and came out to a huge wedge cut out at the base of the tree. The whole tree had to be cut down. The boss apologized. The whole tree had to be cut down. No offer to grind the stump for failure to follow instructions. I don't smoke and I despise picking up other people's cigarette butts. They were all over. The truck they had leaked oil all over the driveway. They kicked the rocks around to try to hide the oil. I asked to keep half of the mulch. Before I could tell them to stop the whole truck was dumped. They tossed a large amount of branches and pine needles on to the adjoining property. I am sure I will be hearing about it from the property owners. Be aware that you will have a hard time contacting them. Don't answer phone and you can't leave a message. The worst part... they still wanted me to pay the same amount. No offer of compensation. Got a little bit of attitude too.

They brought 2 loads of chips later in the summer. Then, last month a huge, healthy-looking 90' tall tree fell and I learned that 4 others were at risk of hitting buildings if they went down. There were also 2 junky cherry trees and a smaller crab apple to be taken out. Two crews (10 men) started at around 9 AM and finished at 6 PM. One man cleared a long area of brush to be covered with chips, which was my original plan before the tree fell. They ground all of the stumps, the huge root/dirt ball, spread all of the chips and cleaned up as they worked. I am very happy with their work, promptness and pleasantness.
