Do not go off the prices on the website. What they charge after services are finished are inflated in comparison to website costs they hide it under the guise of material which I can understand but it should not change for the same person visit after visit. And apparently due to their technicians lack of experience there will be a significant price hike because she takes longer than other employees. I just moved here from California and was looking for a new place to get a mani/pedi. Although I don't mind paying higher prices for services that match, I was first taken a back by the prices As they are more than I paid back home. But the pictures looked beautiful and thought I'd give BANKZ a try knowing how much I was going to pay ahead of time. My technician did not clip the dry skin around my nails, something I had to do myself. After applying the polish, my nails still looked dried out around the skin from the alcohol prep. Maybe I was expecting too much, but I was kind of expecting a hand massage to go with that mani. I was just as disappointed with my pedi. Not really impressed and still no massage. I did notice the woman sitting next to me was getting a massage for her feet. We're those things I was supposed to request? She even got a 25% discount for her pedi as her drain tub wasn't working properly. I thought after paying $94.50 (I did get a piece of cheesecake when I left) I would have received something more other than disappointment. read more

I've come in before for massages before (amazing), and decided to try their manicure service before a trip. I had a very new and young manicurist, still in school, and she was pleasant to talk to - not the best manicure I've had, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt for being so new in the industry and it was fun to hear about her schooling and plans. She used an e-file to sand down my cuticles (which I hadn't had done on my nails before) prior to applying the Gel X extensions. The manicure lasted a good two weeks, and after soaking off the remaining nails at home after a few popped off, I noticed quite a bit of damage: 8 of my nails had visible marks from the e-file sanding, and 4 of those 8 were extremely deep and dented. This is unfortunately something I will have to grow out, and I'm hesitant to have additional manicures done at Bankz in case more damage is done to my new growth. The visual is quite unfortunate, and will inevitably cause breakage once it's grown out to my tips. I emailed the contact listed on their website and very kindly let them know feedback of my experience with this manicurist, and told them specifically that I didn't want to post a review publicly since she was so new, and thought it was best to email them directly and let them know - I want the best for her and her career, and feedback is how you grow and learn! However, it's now been several weeks and no one followed up with me or replied at all. This felt unprofessional and upsetting, and like this feedback was potentially just ignored or brushed under the rug and not taken seriously. TLDR: book with an experienced manicurist here, or go somewhere else. It doesn't seem like the newer ones are trained properly or like the team cares about feedback regarding customer experience involving nail damage. I will not come back for a manicure. read more

Pedicure chair was broken, jets didn't work, burned by gel remover, rusty tools, and artist who spent more time out of the room than in. Finally decided I had enough and asked to just have toes trimmed. Never coming back. Update: the salon manager called me the following morning. She sincerely apologized and said the product wouldn't be used again. She offered me a pedicure at 50% off with another artist. All of this is appreciated and I'm glad she called to make it right. Unfortunately, this doesn't negate what happened. I hope that this is something they learn from and grow from. read more

So the people are really nice and the salon is very nice but the only issue is... I scheduled an appointment to get my eyebrows waxed for 2:30 and apparently they changed my appointment time to 3:00 without making sure I knew. I have two confirmation emails with two different times on them. One email sent the day I scheduled the appointment (with the time I scheduled it for) and one email sent the day of my appointment (with the time they changed it to). I don't understand why no one called or texted me to let me know that my appointment time was being moved? Anyways they do a nice job with everything but the scheduling. read more

For Christmas I received a diva for a day gift card for Bankz salon. Being new to this area I decided to treat myself for my birthday. My morning started out with a fabulous relaxing massage with Brianna. So relaxing and she was able to get rid of the stress in my middle back immediately. From there I went to Matty to get my hair weaved and trimmed. She did a great job on my cut and color. The final portion of my diva for a day was my facial with Renee. I love my color ( she took me from black to a light brown which is no easy task) and didn't even bat an eye or twitch! Renee did my brows and my little Italy (my upper lip) and she was amazing too!) My daughter and I both get our hair done here. We see different hair dressers, but have had incredible experiences with everyone we have encountered. Love the atmosphere and love the service! I have waited until I have had three visits before I give this review. The positives: The place is beautiful (this is the reason for the first star) I seen EJ 3 times and I loved my cut and color each time (this is the reason for the second star) The Negatives: Even though website says $12 for brows they charge $20 plus tax (this is what you would pay for an esthetician in Columbus, not a stylist in Mansfield). When having the "fuzz" shaved from my forehead part of my eyebrow was accidentally removed, the worst part was she didn't tell me and I didn't even realize until I got into the car. I was offered a free brow wax for the inconvenience (ironic considering I had nothing to wax). Two of the three times that I went I scheduled to have my brows done. Both times I was told I was not down for brows. I did however see that my appointment sheet said brows. Not sure where that mixup occurred. I will say I was offered a free service for my inconveniences, but for me it was not about free services. read more

I am new to the area and was on the hunt for a new salon & stylist as I needed some hair love. I was intrigued by the building...and it didn't disappoint. It's so stylish, relaxing, and feels like a rich spa. They have embraced its history of being a bank but made the old granite & industrial look luxurious with stylish touches. You are greeted with friendly faces, and all the amenities to truly let you have a relaxing time there. Which...that's what it's about right? The getaway from life for a few hours!! Hair salon perfection! I treated myself with a facial with dermaplaning. It was beyond relaxing, the esthetician took her time and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. My face has never felt softer and after just one treatment I noticed a huge difference in the clarity of my skin. I will rebook this appointment. Onto hair...I had a spectacular experience. The color processed perfectly (a redken violet based rich brown) and my cut was great. My hair was relieved of all the bulkiness and was given a wonderful and sleek shape. Banks gives you an experience that you cannot get anywhere else. The restored bank building gives the perfect ambiance. I know when I'm going to bankz that I'm going to be pampered in an upscale fashion. I left after getting my mani pedi with my head held high. It's definitely a confidence booster going to this salon! While I have had good services here I cannot say the same for my daughter who had her hair highlighted but for some reason they only lightened around her face...and in the back but completely underneath where it wasnt at all visable. So quite literally she had very dark black hair everywhere and blonde almost white hair around her face...We called in and they offered to make it right which made us happy, so she went back and they fixed the color made it a pretty caramel color, but didnt add anymore highlighting, and then charged her additional money for the fix. Called back again, and they said the charge was for additional highlights (which were nonexistent) then after a very lengthy discussion I was told that she could come back and the stylist would fix it again, and they'd just eat the cost. By this time after 2 not good experiences my daughter refuses to give them a third chance. She's out 160.00 and now wants to just go back to the original color.. I know they do have some talented colorists there, but seriously. We could have gone quite literally anywhere and theyd have at least screwed it up a lot cheaper than that! read more

Booked an appointment for my daughters 18th Birthday. They lost her appointment, told her she could wait 4 or 5 hours and still may not get in, and then told her and my wife they had to leave because they didn't want a scene in the salon. Rude, Unprofessional, and not to be trusted. Back to Charles Penzone in Columbus we go. Thanks for making my daughters 18th memorable. Your response that my wife used profanity or yelled is completely fictitious. Your "Front Desk Manager" was rude, condescending, and demeaning. If your "manager" had offered to reschedule for a following weekend OR if you had called me back this could have been resolved in the "private" manner you would prefer. Beautiful place, not overpriced, same prices you'd find anywhere else. Very friendly, great customer service. Love all their services, from massages to facials and pedicures, but lash extensions. Not impressed at all. I was told the glue is very gentle on your lashes, it took over a week to completely remove all the glue off my lashes.I don't think a 19 year old is qualified to do lashes. She's very sweet but not quite there yet. Don't get me wrong, for the time she's been doing it, she's not bad but not what I wanted. I will start with my hair experiences so far here have been great. Only had a cut though. I still think $35 for a haircut is crazy! My husband recently decided to buy me a complete "Diva for a day Package" for Valentine's Day. It stated on their valentine's day email offer of those packages that it would include massage, facial, gel manicure, pedicure, and blow out style. When someone purchases this package it is around $250-$300--not cheap by no means. I scheduled it for the end of March on a Saturday. They said that I needed to set aside from 11am-3/4pm for that day. It was at least over a month away when I scheduled it. You would think if someone is paying this kind of money they would make sure their best employees were doing the services and they might have some food for someone being there all day. I started out with my massage. Great massage table and massage, no complaints there. Next was my facial, not bad but have had better. Last was my pedicure, manicure, and blow out style (hair wash and style). They had the same girl scheduled to handle all three of those services for me. I did not want a gel manicure and they did not offer any other service just gave me a regular manicure that was not worth as much. She was a nice girl but seemed very inexperienced/young. Why they put her on my expensive package deal I have no idea! None of my polish on my toes or nails stayed on. Never had this problem anywhere else. Even after it dried for hours. She washed my hair and started blow drying it and never combed my hair! My style looked horrible and frizzy and I tried to tell her how I would have liked it. This was definitely not how I would expect a place to be to someone who paid that kind of money for a package. They even said my blow out style was not included and I told them yes it was for their valentine's day special. They ended up taking it off finally. I will never go here for those services again unless I get someone different to do them. They are overpriced for Mansfield. They act like a fancy place in Columbus but provide cheap service. read more

I've only ever gotten a spray tan here by one of the girls who worked there. The girl was super nice and made me feel super comfortable every time I went. The only complaint is they take you don't stairs and only have a sheet pinned up so I was always scared someone was gonna walk by. As for the spray tan it's self it looked great and never orange. I am very pale and got the darkest pray tan they can offer and it still looked natural. read more
