Our room had a private bath with nice hot showers and a very comfortable bed. The owners were so sweet and helpful and fed us until we almost exploded. The breakfast is huge- don't fill up on the cold cereal, because there's so, so much more! It was a great find and definitely the best B&B we stayed in on our trip.

There is a small island in the middle that looks like something out of the lord of the rings or he hobbit. The less than single lane road is quite the adventure but it is about 5 k off the main road. Was told to meander a bit on the out-of-the-way Beara Ring and then go to the other side of the mountains using Healy Pass. Well, I missed the pass road and found an obscure sign for Josie's Lake View House and Tearoom. So, well, I had to go discovering. Josie's is the REASON I travel. I want to find out-of-the-way treasures that safe travelers always miss. Josie's is the real deal. It is on a mountain lake (Glanmore) and it appears that time just passed it by. No one there on a summer afternoon. The deals were Beef Wellington @ 15 euros and Lamb BBQ @ 14 euros. Hey this was good and inexpensive for the area. Later, going over the Healy Pass road, I looked down on the lake and Josie's. These are the experiences worth every dime of a vacation.
