She does have a stoic demeanor that may come off as rude, but I don't believe she does this intentionally. And I also believe this is the reason why she may rub people the wrong way. If you prefer the kind of physician who is mushy and holds your hand with everything, Dr. Collins is not for you. Physicians are people too, and their personalities may reflect in their work. In my experiences with Dr. Collins, she was professional and did her job effectively. Ultimately, that's what I look for in a physician: someone who knows what they're doing. Each person has different needs, and some physicians just aren't a good fit. For me, Dr. Collins was a good fit. I should note that I do have a career in medicine, and so when I visit Dr. Collins I know what to ask and what to expect. I ask specific questions and I often don't need explanation on medical treatments or lab work. We have an understanding of each other and I think that's why she is a good fit for me. In the 5+ years that I've known her, she has been friendly and accommodating. She guided me through a healthy pregnancy and successfully delivered my healthy baby boy. The office is clean and new. Location is convenient because the diagnostic lab is right next door if you need to do lab work. Also, Sherry Louise at the front desk is the nicest person you'll meet!

Then he used an invasive practice that he didn't announce and is outdated and inexcusable .

After my first session, and just two days of doing my stability exercises, my low back pain diminished greatly. Our goal is to stabilize my body so that I can hold alignment on my own and extend my time between chiropractic adjustments. His chiro adjustments are AMAZING. I am so grateful to have her and my midwife, Nancy Beyda, at my birth (such a great pair!). She helped me prepare a birth plan so that my birth could go exactly as I wanted. She really goes above and beyond to try and be there for you. She visited after my birth to make sure I felt comfortable nursing etc, and she prepared delicious, home cooked meals for me after the birth. She is such a kind, caring mother & soul - someone you'd want around while you birth, especially if you don't have family nearby. She is trained in using rebozos to shift position of baby, she is certified in birthing from within (and practiced exercises with me on Mother's Day when my baby was late, and my water happened to break later that day), and she will encapsulate placenta pills if you'd like that service (she also makes beautiful placenta art). She also teaches prenatal yoga and has mommy and me classes at her house for new mothers, and hosts retreats for mamas to be. She also took some photos of my birth to capture those very first moments. We are so grateful to have found her!

She is the best postpartum doula around! She's not only a baby whisperer but is highly knowledgeable and dedicated in what she does. She shares much of her own wisdom not only from being a mother of two beautiful, smart, grown children of her own, but also from drawing upon her own life experiences. In her postpartum work, she does everything like cook you healing yummy foods, wrap your belly, prepare you snacks, prep meals, does your dishes and laundry and also tidies up your home. She is super organized and thoughtful. She always asks if you need anything and makes sure you are well-rested and comfortable while breastfeeding. Cindi is also fantastic with kids. She served as a lovely "mother's helper" to my family (especially to my 3-year-old son for the month of March after my delivery). She took him on walks, played with him, and did the whole bed-time routine with him. She is hands down just amazing! We miss her already and wish she could be around forever!
