The hotel was located on the Plazuela de los Sapos right in the centre of Puebla and our room and bathroom were palatial and modern. The technology did take a little getting used to - everything is controlled by a little tablet. We loved everything - the location on the Plazuela Los Sapos, the enormous marble bathroom with rain shower and Japanese toilet, comfortable king bed and cute little balcony overlooking the square. There's also a lovely pool and bar on the rooftop terrace. The staff are very friendly and although they have limited English, they do try to help you.

Staff is warm, inviting and gracious. The two year old hotel shines like a new copper penny. Two restaurants on site, independent from the hotel are quality operations. I booked the presidential suite... 14 FT ceilings, 5 french type doors opening to walk out balconies, soaking tub... rain shower.... fancy toliet that bathes you :-).... awesome TV with great music channels... everything operated by ipad.... took a day to get used to it. Roof with heated pool, jaccuzzi, garden, bar and restaurant is nothing short of fabulous. Leo ... a true master of hospitality made memories for us when my family joined me there for an afternoon swim fiesta. Location is prime... it overlooks a large courtyard that hosts an antiques street market on the weekends. Only issue was ice the first night... independent restaurants locked up and no access to an ice machine. I had to go to the convienence market accross the street. Hotel should have it's own ice machine. I will return..... I highly reccomend this property.

Also note that they do not have a refrigerator. So you'll have to cool your drinks some other way if you want to. My only real complaint is the design of the lobby. In order to get to the lobby you have to take an elevator to get there. After that you take an elevator to get to your room. This poses a traffic problem as there are only 2 elevators and sometimes the wait can be very long! I decided to climb the stairs from the lobby to my room on the 6th floor and it was not fun. Still a good and clean hotel nonetheless :)

Parking is only $90 a day and it is through valet parking. Fast and free Internet If you get a room on a higher floor, the views of the city are spectacular, in particular from the north facing rooms which I believe are odd number rooms The rooms are very comfortable and they have very stylish furniture The breakfast buffet downstairs may be a little pricey for what it is. There's a mall just behind the hotel that you can walk to and there is a brand new shopping center with a nice supermarket just across the street also You can essentially walk anywhere from here I will definitely stay here again and again

There is no doubt to me that this is a 5 star hotel…read more Customer service is very friendly and obviously enjoys their work and are always extremely helpful and generous whenever we ask for help. They offer a variety of different flavored water out near the lobby and also in the gym area and keep tea and coffee stocked in the computer lab as well as the lobby. They also sometimes have American style apples that they offer in the gym area. We were also offered nonalcoholic versions of some of their popular bar drinks near the pool to give you a sample with before you decide what drink you want to buy at the outside bar area. There is just the one outside pool however it was hardly used at all when we went and they keep the pool nice and warm at 28 degrees celcius or 82.4 degrees Fahrenheit which makes you feel warmer inside the water rather than outside the water. The gym was also decent, and like the pool, was empty with prestocked water bottles in the exercise machines. We were also impressed that they had a sauna area that you usually have to make reservations for but if there is no one there you can just ask for them to set it up for you. We will not hesitate to come here again while exploring Puebla.

Things we liked: the sommelier was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He let me taste two different wines and I get to choose my favorite. He even helped us get a ride home. The food was generally quite good. We ordered four different items, including a beef ceviche, fried parsley, crema Poblana soup and mole poblano with chicken. My favorite of these was the crema poblano soup. All items were all nicely prepared. The servings were quite generous. Despite several complaints we read on Yelp about the prices, we thought they were pretty reasonable compared to what we would pay in the USA. Things we didn't like: there was some construction going on, apparently to prepare for Valentine's Day. There were some poorly behaved children running through the restaurant. There were large groups of waiters standing around talking to each other. The restaurant wasn't very crowded on this Wednesday night. Overall, it's a good restaurant with a few flaws on our one visit.

It is also a fairly new hotel. Our room had an excellent view of the volcano and it was beautiful! The free breakfast was fantastic: tasty chilaquiles, refried beans, a big selection of pastries, excellent freshly made and crunchy granola. I am not sure if the breakfast is currently available due to Covid but it was fantastic! I hope Covid is over soon so that I can visit Cholula again I will certainly be staying here again.

The restaurant downstairs is quite good and room service is easy and friendly. Even though it's located in the center of town, my room was quiet. I encountered some technical issues. The shower ran scalding hot one day, the tv was a little fussy, and the a/c ran a little cool. But they were very attentive and wanted to make things right. (I complained about the shower but the tv and a/c weren't a big deal.) i shared a double with a friend, so we each paid around $20 a night. Well worth it, and I'd stay again for sure.
