We were feeling the Taiwanese staple, Lu Rou Fan which is minced pork on rice. There was a meal deal with the Lu Rou Fan and another item (I got fried chicken) and I opted for a large...big mistake. The large is quite large...but it was pretty damn delicious, as was the chicken. You can pick whatever drink off their menu (comes with the combo) and I opted for an Almond Milk Tea. That was also delicious....and this is coming from someone who never really gets milk tea/boba (considering it originated in Taiwan...I think it's a big deal.) Would definitely come again to try the rest of their massive menu.

Kongfo intestine makes me remember of all the food in Singapore. There are 4 or 5 different sauce. Have a look at the first page of their menu to know which one you like. Staffs are happy to wait for you (well, actually they are always busy with the crowded customers unless you signal them). Min to use credit card is $20. I will come back again to try other noodle soup: beef noodle soup (I heard it's very good) and thin noodle soup.

I guess the rent here would be cheaper than the shop front on Goulburn Street. I had the pork knuckle noodle soup which was quite hearty with the soy braised knuckles. For a Taiwanese place, it was a little surprising that they used udon noodles. It was a pretty good value serving.

You have the option of buying their skewers and snacks (tasty) or their combo rice dishes (also tasty.) The pork is oh so tender and juicy and this place has suddenly become my go-to place for a cheap braised pork belly meal. You'll be hard pressed to spend more than $12 and you'll feel quite satisfied as well. If you have a sensitivity to savouriness you may want to stay away, but otherwise you may as well feast away.

The food here tastes exactly like Taiwan! We had the spicy beef noodles, hot and sour wontons and the fried pork chop. The pork chop was the star, that alone would be five star on its own. The beef noodles tasted great exactly the soup was lukewarm, would've been five stars if it was hotter. The hot and sour soup broth was great, the top of wontons seems kinda thick tho. I ordered 3 treasure beef noodle, that consist of sirloin meat, tendon and shank. Don't have to wait too long, and comes my noodle. The first impression of the look and smells brings me back memory to China. The broth was aromatic with fragrant of Chinese herbs, dark color broth, looks so intense! Obviously I took time to took a snap and posted in yelp before I dig in to my noodle. Noodle was cook to perfection by my Chinese standard, hahahaha.. This is my standards after eating tons of noodles and emptied hundreds of bowls of noodles while I was spent 1,5 years in Beijing. First slurps of the broth..... Oh... It was so good but a touch of salt will give this rating to 4 stars. And for me the shank, could be cook in pressure cooker for 1/2 hour longer, because it's soft but not falling apart. Sirloin portion was nice and thick, overall portion was generous. Those tendon was delicious and still rich and gelatinous the way it should be cook. We started with the gentle, tasty, duck leg soup that arrived at our table 6 minutes after ordering. Super tender duck leg with soft delicious rice noodle. Just what we needed. Pow! So good and uplifting, another soup was needed - Beef Noodle Soup with glass noodles..!! ‍ O.M.G. This could be the tastiest beef soup in the world (probably). Flavour. Flavour. Flavour. And even better, the prices have barely changed in the last bunch of years. During peak hours, getting in can be a nightmare. And they shut promptly at 8PM. But say what you will, they're efficient here. They attempt to expedite the peak-hour rush by forcing you to order before you get in but really, the best stuff is actually sitting in the window, waiting to be selected. They have a bunch of plates in the window displaying their cold dishes. Referred to by the Taiwanese as 'small eats', these dishes can be anything. Pickled, spicy, meat, vegetarian, vegan, mystery, you name it, they've flavoured and it served it up on a plate. Favourites of mine are the pig ears, duck giblets and beans. But if you had to pick from the menu, do yourself a favour and order the deep fried tofu, the pan fried turnip cake, or some of the fried chicken pieces. All this with a side of hot and sour soup and their stewed mince and rice. Yum! And if you must order a drink, their pearl milk tea is damn good! Goodness. The mapo tofu was not too oily and had a sweet-ish spicy sauce. It was the perfect amount for three people. Prices were remarkably reasonable, servers friendly and attentive. We would gladly return. This has now arrived in Sydney on George Street but in a much more glamorous setting than a roadside cart. Given our rules regarding food safety, the ingredients are kept behind a refrigerated glass counter and you order off a sheet of paper. How do Asian countries manage to keep food at ambient temperatures roadside without 'issues' ? Anyhow, the choice of ingredients is quite staggering from meats, vegetables, balls of various fillings, noodles and tofu. The thing to keep in mind is that the bowl isn't very big so you can't load it all up with too much and the big thing to note is that it all adds up very quickly from a $$ perspective. I ended up paying $14.70 (and I don't think I went overboard with my choices either) which is a very expensive bowl of takeout hotpot with noodles. Something similar in Taiwan probably cost me about $3. The browl was very fragnant and as a I had chose mild spicy level, it had a good kick to it. Ingredients are typical hotpot quality but the big bummer for me was the price!
