My partner and I were wondering through Shoreditch and decided to check it out after passing it on the high street. We came in between lunch and dinner just to grab a snack before we went home.
Gotta say, I was really quite impressed with everything. The staff were attentive, the decor is quite cool, and the vibe overall was nice. Upon being at the counter, we were handed a relatively small menu where you write in what you wanted to order. Honestly, small details like these always get me. It was reminiscent of ordering Chinese food at your favourite dim sum places.
From what I can recall, we ordered three baos: the daikon, the fried chicken, and the iberico pork. All three were exceptional, the daikon and fried chicken were what you would expect. Worth pointing out that the flavours were well balanced and they did a good job of not overdoing certain ingredients. The iberico pork however, definitely stood out. The pork was perfectly cooked and practically melted in your mouth. Although it's more expensive than the other two, it's well worth the price (and in general when is iberico ever cheap?).
Absolutely loved this place. Definitely coming back again! read more
