Update: Food is still delicious but I have reason to believe the service charge is going to pay management as opposed to the waitstaff who rightfully deserve it. Sadly, I won't be coming back here until the service staff is treated fairly.

This place was okay. Interesting soups, which are a bit different than most I've had. The noodles were odd, and the broth was oily, but ultimately the soup wasn't bad. Portions and costs were reasonable, and there was no wait. The water closet was not very clean, which I found to be unpleasant, and I question whether the public use of wooden spoons, while novel, will be sanitary over time. Overall the experience was just okay.

In general, it was an okay food. This is more like a comfort chinese food. The food can be quite spicy though since they use mala and szechuan peppercorn. But try how far can you go. This is definitely a try though to test your spicyness ability. Nevertheless, this is recommended to try and to come back. I would come back again if i look for comfort chinese food.

Came by for lunch the other day and it was a world class experience! Kiln is a Thai restaurant…read morelocated in the bustling Soho district and is featured in the Michelin guide as a Bib Gourmand. Made a reservation online and I was able to be seated upon arrival. Dining is available at the kitchen counter, bar, or in the basement dining room. Managed to get a seat by the kitchen counter and it was a very warm experience sitting in front of the grill. Bring a mask if one is sensitive to spices! The waitstaff were lovely and spent time explaining the menu that changes daily. Started off with the chicken and soy along with the rump with ubon relish and they were both excellent. The chicken thigh was grilled to perfection and super flavorful from the marination. The rump was cooked to perfection at a medium rare and the flavors were on point. The chef that made this personally presented this to me at the counter. Amazing! The glass noodles were fragrant and tasty. The crab portion was minimal and the pork belly had a smell to it... ~£30/head including VAT and service for lunch. Kiln takes credit cards and there was a £1 donation that was added to my bill which I requested them to remove...

Once seated, the food does arrive fairly quickly and I did enjoy the dim ambiance in the intimate downstairs space (upstairs is bar seating). The food was good, but I don't get the hype. The glass noodles were my favorite dish especially the green sauce that comes with it (pour it all!), and the rest didn't particularly stand out.
