Staying in Cinci for 2 nights, this was the closest LGBTQ+ watering hole closest to our hotel in uptown so we took a LYFT (could have bussed it but long wait times). Your local watering hole, this bar is small but cozy and I loved the tables near their big windows so you can sit and enjoy your libations while people watching. Bartender was friendly and we enjoyed their 6.00 Kettle One specials (tall pour). TouchTunes jukebox in house so that was another plus. read more

Went here for the first time, as I am from out of town. I thought I'd check it out. Having read the reviews, I was hesitant but I figured why not. The bartender was Ok. Not friendly not rude just not very welcoming. I got a muted and obviously painful hello. I live in NYC and frankly this took me a back. NYC bartenders are friendly! They know how to make their money and or they're just nice and enjoy their work. I had my beer and left. No "Thank you" for the $5 tip for a beer. No "good night" No anything! I will definitely not return. Just another bar that will see itself disappear into the dust bin of another poorly run business. Too bad, the location is central. Maybe someone who knows how to run a friendly and welcoming bar will take over. read more

Stumbled upon this bar while exploring downtown Cincinnati. Everyone was super friendly, staff and patrons. Drinks were priced well and they had daily specials. Good music and people watching out the large windows facing the street. It wasn't terrible busy compared to surrounding places, which was nice!! read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. The bar staff was unbelievably rude to my friend and I. We walked in with the normal intention of buying a few drinks and hanging out. One of our friends went straight to the bar to order and we let him know we needed to use the restroom and we'd be right back (if you've ever had a night out with drinks flowing, you know when ya gotta go ya gotta go). While waiting for the bathroom, the woman bartender that was working walked from behind the bar, over to us, and asked could she help us with anything. I said thank you, we are just waiting for the restroom. She proceeded to say how the restroom is only for customers. I assured her we are customers and we are going to head to the bar, we just needed to use the restroom. She then got snippy and said "well you haven't bought anything. you haven't been a customer." Even though a member of our group was already at the bar buying. I don't know what she expected from this exchange but my friend and I were just kind of confused and uncomfortable. She was disgustingly rude in her tone, body language, and I still don't understand her reasoning for approaching us and making us feel very unwelcome. My friend went to communicate to a separate bartender what happened and that bartender proceeded to tell her she was lying and that his coworker didn't do/say that. Which I'm not sure what someone would gain from lying about such a weird and unpleasant experience, but go off queen. It was my second time in this place, and I got similar vibes the first time, but decided to try again. Definitely won't be back after last night. Trash. read more

Went to 901 recently and got obnoxiously white girl wasted. Despite this, the bartender Jeff was incredibly kind to my friends and I. The bar was clean and welcoming with gender neutral bathrooms. There were obvious covid precautions like a plexiglass shield, not too many people in the bar, and hanging plastic around seating. I felt very safe and already miss Jeff. read more

Decided to check this out on a whim. Happy hour is from 4-8 that is a great amount of time. Small and intimate. Bartender (Tony) was very friendly. Beers only in cans - no tap. Normal mixed drinks. Smaller but intimate. Crowd was a nice night on a Thursday. Very friendly and chatty. Decor is very red - which is apropos. Gender neutral bathrooms (2 singles). Chips to buy for food. If you're a Cincinnati local, this is probably a great bar, but if you're from out of town, I highly recommend you skip it, unless you like being treated poorly by a rude bartender, and like being ignored by the clientele. I have gone 3-4 times, and each time, I was treated rudely by the bartender, and will not be going back, as I prefer my bartenders to be friendly and helpful, rather than treating me like I'm not welcome. read more
