OK, so I stumbled across this restaurant just based on the number of locals outside. Wow what a wonderful surprise. Inside you'll find plenty of seating and the selection of seafood is amazing.
Vigo is known for its mussels, oysters, and local seafood. I ordered a dish of grilled octopus that came with local scallops and local mushrooms. Honestly, I have never cried while eating a meal, but this was the first time I've experienced it. The combination of local mushrooms coupled with the creaminess of octopus was something I'd never experienced before. Complete mouthgasm. The dish came to €20.
I also tried their local prawns that were done with the crispy outside shell but tender, moist shrimp. You get six of these for €12.
Finally, the local Galician wine is something to be enjoyed. They are known for Albariño but honestly, I really did like the red here. It wasn't fruit forward like the red wine that I'm used to in my local area but more subtle and well balanced.
The service was spot on. They don't pester you like some places do in the US but also wasn't completely ignored. I want to come back here but at the same time I wanna try other places. Highly recommend it if you're in the area! read more
