The chef had taken his lunch, but the staff feeling sorry for our plight, made us delectable salads from what they had available: smoked salmon, ahi tuna, cheeses and greens topped with crispy onion, asparagus, pate and fresh baguette. Followed by meringue and coffee. It was the most wonderful meal, and incredibly thoughtful and kind of the staff to care for us this way. We visited Nice, St Tropez, Burgundy and Paris and still this was our favorite meal. The 4 course meal was delicious and so reasonably priced. If I could return one day I would. Until then, I will continue to dream about the foie gras, the goat cheese, the veal, the desserts, and even the complimentary fish dip at the beginning of our meal was amazing.
