Inside the city walls of Soave and up high to get a view of the street, the setting is wonderful. It was a sunny but cool day, and we each had a glass of the local Pietropan white. We shared the smoked burrata appetizer; the smokiness was just amazing, and so fresh; perfect with the fresh bread at the table. For primo I had the carbonara with hot peppers; we also had the parpardelle with black truffles. So many truffles you could smell the dish yards away. Wonderful wonderful meal. If you're near Soave you owe it to yourself to go (45 minutes from Vincenza.

Il Drago is nestled in the town of Soave and has a delightful menu of pastas, beef carpaccio, gnocchi, and salads. I ordered the black truffled tagliatelle. It was the perfect portion and cooked to perfection. The black truffles were very thinly sliced and earthy. The pasta was a perfect al dente....It was literally the best pasta I've eaten.
