Finally, the right moment arrived to check out this legendary place that everyone talks about. Of course, I had to stare at the menu board for a moment. Choosing a dish in places like this always gives me trouble. It's easy to find yourself craving everything. Well, I finally had to order that famous "kotlet", knowing that I would probably need someone to help me clear the plate. My company decided on 'Kotlet de Volaille' which was surprisely stuffed with cheese instead of butter. Yes! More melted cheese, please. Not sure what to add more. Yes, the 'kotlet' was massive. It covered almost the entire plate. It was prepared perfectly. Simple, tasty dish. The potatoes and raw vegetable salads were also very good. I just love all coleslaw style salads, not to mention potatoes, which I also love no matter how they are prepared. People in Poland eat a lot of potatoes.

Then for the main course I had the traditional Polish dish of Kotlet schabowy. This is pork tenderloin (real pork tenderloin) dipped in egg and bread crumbs and deep fried until beautifully crisp on the outside and wonderfully moist and tender on the inside. This was served with mashed potatoes with a bit of bacon on top. On the side were a selection of salads - slights sweet carrot, mild beetroot, and a coleslaw with a little bite of horseradish. Very delicious. Add some tea with lemon and a honey beer from the microbrewery and I was in heaven. This was just delicious. You order and pay at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Everything was hot or cold as it should be. A lovely meal in a great atmosphere. Many local workers were eating there and that says a lot.

It is conveniently located near the main square and there is an outdoor market in the Jewish Quarter right outside. The decor is very rustic and retro, so totally fits the Polish mood.
