I mean yes, in some part, but at the same time there are more items in here that do not relate to books. There are more and more items in here that are of the toy variety that are geared towards children than books. This is somehow surviving in this dying mall. But to be honest you rarely see anyone enter here. How is it surviving? Just how? I came in and looked through the selection they had and not much is worth grabbing. I like local history books, especially when it comes to Johnstown. Just wish that there was more offered here.

The employees know me by my face and name because I am always in there. They always say hello to me and we have a conversation because they are just so awesome. Books are never that cheap, but they always have sales and if you go in at the right time, you can get books for less than $5. The membership card is worth it if you are w reader because it saves you money on everything you buy. I have too many books to count and I always buy more, but this store is a great one and it better never close. Heck, books are the only thing I really buy and I could keep them in business haha. I especially like coming to this one because they have the full deal here right down to the cooler/freezer section. I in fact came here the other day to stock up on items for my work locker, got to have those snacks. Well organized, well stocked and always ready for whatever holiday comes next. It's a great location in a busy area. Unfortunately it is a target for cars to drive into. Yes, you did read that right. The most recent the vehicle made it about 2/3 of the way inside the store. Taking out a majority of the breakable items that people use to decorate with. As of right now, the front of the store has plywood and only the one door is in operation. All the shelves that were damaged are about to be replaced, so all the items that were on those shelves currently sit in shopping carts. Although there is no need to worry about future vehicular shopping as they have constructed barriers in the front of the store entry ways.

This one is near the hospitals in the area and you would assume that would mean a better experience, but it was anything but. Inside is a mess. I am not sure what this was prior to it being a Dollar General, but I am fairly sure it had to of been some type of grocery store. If it was indeed that they do not do much to update this place as it looks very rundown and not taken care of in the least. Finding my item and paying was the least of my worries here. I found what I needed, had a minimal wait at the registers, and was on my way. What I did not like was the fact that I felt like I was being watched the whole time I was here. Like I was being evaluated to see if I was worth robbing. I should have parked on the street, but I choose the small parking lot next to the building. I never wanted out of a place faster in my life.

Most of the shoes in here you can find elsewhere and most times at a cheaper price. It's rather large, but I think that is a downside for this particular store. There is too much inventory. There is a small section in the back that is for clearance inventory, but it is rather sparse at times. They also have other items on hand for purchase. Socks, shoelaces and other shoe-centric items. But they also carry watches, jewelry and candy as well. Located on the lower level of the Galleria mall in Johnstown, which is a slowly dying mall.

With that being said, the only thing that is holding this place back is the fact that with Quaker State having their kitchen share a wall with this place makes for some interesting, hungry thoughts while shopping. I mean all the items that are in here can be bought elsewhere and for cheap. I'm just completely baffled by that. I guess a lot of people are crafty. At Walmart, you can get an average to small amount of craft/creative supplies and they are good quality. However, if you need ANY type of more in-depth supplies or ideas then the place for you is Michael's. The associates are always more than willing to help you out in any way possible. This is a good thing because they are really great at helping me to figure out just what it is that I want and/or need for my current creative streak. The associates are knowledgeable, the store is clean. The ONLY thing that I have noticed is that on a few occasions, an aisle or two was blocked by either one of those giant metal stairs things or stock before it has been put out. The store manager is wonderful! They offer a variety of fashion accessories like earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and scarfs. They have lots of of clothes for juniors. The selection of plus size is the reason why I shop there. I may be out if the "juniors" section by age, but the clothes they offer are excellent. Most of my clothes come here.
